Seriously, what team pinch hits for its clean up man?
If he can't hit with two on in the 7th, he shouldnt be your cleanup
man. They pinch hit with a lifetime career .179 pinch hitter. Thats how
bad Adams is right now. Yadi looks like he has vision issues or
something. Put the damn weight back on!!!! Your bat speed is awful, Yadi.

The ball is flying out at Cincy and we can't knock out Marquis.

Lastly, Marco is better than Lackey.

I agree. Pinch hitting for your clean up man is a panic move.
Exactly.

Commenting on a game isn't bitching. I guess people don't want to discuss the games on here anymore until the playoffs.
Good luck

You guys have been screaming for a power bat off the bench. They went out and got one and now you don't want them to use him??? The other one was already in the game and did some damage. A big killer in this game was Carp trying to go to 3rd on a hard hit ball the center fielder came in to get and threw him out by 10 feet. He should have stopped and 2nd and kept the threat of a big inning alive.

Not one person on this board said that was a good choice for our "power guy off the bench". He is one of the all time strikeout kings in mlb history.

Not talking about you ducky was talking about myself and the whining I've been doing. I said during spring training and I am sticking to it. If you are going to keep Grichuk up put him in CF for a month everyday and see if he can provide the thump this offense so desperately needs

But, but, but a strikeout is just another out! Oh I guess that's only if it's a HR instead of a strikeout.

Once again for those that just can't figure it out. If you put the ball in play the defensive players can make errors or use bad judgement on where to throw the ball. For a DP to occur normally at least 2 players, and usually 3, have to make a catch and make a good throw to another player who also has to catch it. If you strikeout there is only one guy that can screw it up and that's the catcher not catching the ball. MUCH higher chance of screwing up a DP than a strikeout. There is absolutely NO logical argument that striking out is not worse than putting the ball in play because you "might" hit into a DP, so I have NO idea why people keep trying. Not to mention if there is a runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs putting the ball in play is WAAAAY better than striking out, it's not always a SO or DP situation.
