how refreshing to see all the same names of basketball factories going to another final 4 in search of a state title..... again.Perhaps.....Webster Groves... .. .?! C =|~
I'd say it's Kickapoo and Nixa in SWMO. They're probably a bit better than everyone else in that quarter. Not to say that Willard, Parkview, Ozark, or Republic couldn't upset somebody. They are all very good. Granted, I know nothing about the two Blue Springs schools in the quarter. What say you?

The top rated high schools today are about the same as 12-15 years ago with a few exceptions. It is important for our young coaches to seek basketball positions in " Traditional schools " to be successful however things are changing in Missouri. MSHSAA have rules in place that favor the private schools and boarding schools. A few high schools have been moving in players for 30 plus years and see nothing wrong with cheating the other schools who play by the rules. This trend will continue unless Principal, athletic directors and coaches use better judgement when signing the transfer form provided by MSHSAA. Some AD approve the transfer form when they knew " Violations " have occurred.

Many in SWMO say Fisher might be the best young coach in the area. His kids play hard, the right way, and don't make very many mistakes. With that said I think Kickapoo has too much firepower. I know Republic almost got Kickapoo in the TOC in January. Could be an interesting potential sectional matchup. Not saying they have the fire power to win it, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Republic sneak out of the SWMO area. They are the most fundamentally sound, and best defensive team in this area. Nixa in districts will be a great game, and the Poo will definitely be hard to overcome if they manage to get by the eagles, but republic should definitely be in the conversation. Fisher is a great coach, and might have the most disciplined team in the state.
Double OT game that had both teams combine to score 115 points. That was Hillcrest's total in their double OT loss to Glendale (119). Nixa and Republic play with a defensive mindset, which make them tough. They both control pace really well.Republic beat Nixa in double overtime last night in SWMO.
Their only losses have been to Blue Springs home and away. After beating them by 23 in the Jewell tournament. Finally had a chance to see Lee's Summit West last night and they will be a tough out.
