With Dist. coming up and on I like to catch some good players playing. This is a list I could find. Pretty much went on stats and some of the returning all state players, and records. Add away!

There are 5 kids averaging double figures for advance, and their post player Mayo is averaging a double double.

I think Thomazin is a better player than meinders from W.G. Kid can shoot from anywhere.

I think Mitchell Officer and Jacob Powelson are pretty strong from North Andrew as well as a couple other kids that would score in bunches if they didn't spread it around (kind of like Jefferson does)

Others in Nw Missouri could be Raegan Law from King City, and Jaden Gillenwater from Mound City, Auckman kid from South Holt is a nice player too.

Kennedy Davis and Bryant Hubbard are very strong down in Glasgow. Those are the ones I've heard about and seen.

I don't think that we can say that Thomazin or Meinders are better both are having a great season with a very good and deep team around them. Both kids can shoot it and drive to the basket very well.
But there are 9 kids on this team that get a lot of playing time every game out. So I could add two or three more kids to that list in my book cause any night any of these kids can have a big game cause they can all shoot it and play together and are coached very well.

When would w.g see Sparta in the playoffs? Have you seen school of parks? Sounds like they are a contender down in your area.

Sparta is Class 2 school. We played Sparta in our holiday classic. School of the Ozarks we wouldn't face till the Final 4 in the Semi's.

I see, does anyone anticipate anyone giving you guys a game before Columbia?
Hermitage or whoever comes out of District 6 will be a good team.
Leeton or whoever comes out of that District which could be Otterville will be a good team as well.
First we have to take care of business in our own District.

Ryan Layman Hardin-Central 6'3" point guard 22.6 ppg 6.5 rpg 5.2 apg

Jake Neal. 6'2" PG. Otterville. 26ppg - 6.5 reb - 5.5 ast - 6.0 Stl

One could say that I am partial...but Jake did score 56 points earlier this year at Prairie Home...but I may be partial...

The problem is (and always will be) is:

1. You have some players that are basically it for their team (not saying anyone in particular in this list) so they will score a lot more points versus a team with multiple talented players...like Dan Hailey at Stanberry...I'd say he'd average 25 or more if he didn't have the team around him he does.

2.You also have to factor in style up play (Walnut Grove pressing/trapping all game gives lots of possessions and high scores) versus someone who runs mostly in the half court who always plays in the 40's and 50's.

3.The final factor is is competition they face in their schedule. I'd say this one is probably the least weighty of the factors though...as everyone faces cupcakes and also at least a couple of good teams.

That's definitely why the teams that make it to Columbia always get more recognition, and somewhat understandably so.

On the other hand, a team with one player that is basically it for their team can and will face defenses that are designed to specifically hold him in check.
