Isn't he supposed to be a big Missouri Tigers basketball fan? Wonder if he might be interested in figuring out a way to entice Greg Marshall, financially, to come to Mizzou?
It would probably improve Kroenke's battered image in the St Louis area.

I wouldn't take a dime of his money, but I'm sure Mizzou would after the mess they have created in Columbia.

Stan, who was named after the Man but who has forgotten his roots, is not going to help Mizzou unless there is a financial reward for him.

He could begin by paying me back my $4,000 for the "PSL's" (Permanent Seat Licenses) I purchased in good faith.

He is a first class sleaze. If the Rams never have another winning season that would be terrific. Even better would be if groundhogs would also invade his new palace in LA.

Studly and others. If Greg Marshall was employed @ the University of Missouri and recruited the same type of players as Wichita State, would he be successful @ Missouri? We must remember Kim Anderson was supposed to Recruit up to SEC standards but continued to recruit low level D-1 or D-2 type players.Greg Marshall should never leave Wichita State and his 7 year contracts. If Greg Marchall is in Carte'are Gordon's living room along with Tom Cream, where does Carte'are enroll?

I would be more in favor of Tom Cream ( Mr. Excitement ) coming to Missouri for the reported 3.5 million dollar contract. We must remember, Missouri has problems when it comes to hiring a head basketball coach and the slump may continue if the same people are on the search committee that have advised in the past.

Gordon goes to SLU. One of the knocks on Crean is he let to many Indiana kids get away. He could have the same problem at Mizzou. Of course he did get Anunoby and Morgan to leave the state of Missouri for Indiana. Rumor was the Tigers didn't even make an offer to either player, that's hard to believe.

Just pay $20 million a year, $2 million hidden bonus, and bring in Calipari and do it right.

I'm guessing the Missouri people have the same people on their basketball " Search Committe " as the past. If this is true, Missouri could fail for the 5th time in a row. Does anyone out there know who will be on the " Basketball Search Committee? "

I would recommend the " MoSports All Stars " to head the search committee.
1. Eagle Ball
2. MFloyd
3. Rocket
4, Pure Swing
5. WCS Coach
6. Study
7. Hangman
8. Ru
9. The Sikeston Train

The above group would be superior to the " Failed Groups " of the past @ Missouri.

I've already been contacted, I can't say anymore than that.

There's nothing Kroenke can do to improve his image in StL.

metro-dude,

since your name is not on the list, I assume you will be the chair of that committee?

I've heard a "knock" on Crean, defensively. I really haven't followed his teams that closely. I'm thinking there are some here that have. Whatcha' think on Crean's teams, defensively?

Get a good defensive asst. coach. Recruiting is the most important thing in college basketball today. Missouri should take the Kroenke money, let him name the coach if that's what it take to get a name coach who can recruit.

I haven't watched his last three teams at Indiana all that much, but his two should've been Final Four teams at IU only attempted to outscore their opponents and that hurt them come tourney time. I'd be against him being at Mizzou and I'm NOT a Mizzou fan. They need to get a good solid coach who can recruit the in-state kids, but they seem to want a "big name"....Steve Forbes should be the guy. Period! I'd certainly take him at MSU right now.

Why does everybody seem to think the very best players in Missouri would go to Mizzou over Duke, North Carolina or several other teams that constantly in the top 10 no matter who the coach is? Tyler Hansbrough's mom and dad went to Mizzou and he left the state for NC. Seems like it worked out pretty well for him.

Personally, I can't stand Mizzou (blocked Missouri State's name change for 15 years), so I don't care what happens to that program, BUT I did like Coach Stewart and hope the flag ship school in the state can get back to having GOOD teams. I just think some of those in-state players would've remained in state had Mizzou made a play for them.

I still don't get the big deal over the name change. I liked the old name better, it was and accurate name for where the school is located. What if SEMO also wanted to be called Mo. St. how would you decide who got that name?

Well, being in southeast Missouri, maybe you don't get it, but A LOT of people were unhappy if not outright embarrassed by the small, red neck, hick, cow town, regional sounding Southwest Missouri State. All of our neighbor states like Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, Indiana, Arkansas all have 'State' schools in addition to the main state schools. Not to compare those to Okie State or Michigan State or Iowa State, etc. because they were long ago established as the main secondary school in their respective states. "accurate name for where the school is located" - Then, MU should be Central-Missouri, right? "What if SEMO also wanted to be called Mo. St. how would you decide who got that name?" - I think MSU had presented itself over a number of years as the second top school in the state and had earned the right to be called Missouri State University. No disrespect to SEMO or Central-MO.

I have never been embarrassed by SEMO St. not being called something else.,nor do I know anybody that went to school that are. To me Missouri State sounds more like the 'little brother' school than Southwest Mo. I'll just disregard your silly comment about "being in South East Missouri maybe you don't get it" since I'm quite sure you think your area is far superior to ours.

Missouri Western sound "cool" to me. As does Missouri Southern. Northwest Missouri State has an amazing "brand" going for it. I like change to U of Central Mo, too.
Missouri athletes are very fortunate to have so many outstanding D2 schools in the state and area. I wish there was at least one more FBS football program in Missouri.

I used to love the University of Missouri, but in all honesty they are getting exactly what they deserve right now.

The University has embarrassed the state of Missouri. What they are experiencing is the free market at work.
You keep expounding how great the free market is, when really there is nothing free about the market what so ever. Follow the money and tell me anything is free about it. If you got money you rule the world if you don't not so much. Mizzou still has enough money people that they will be fine.

They better start upping the ante then, because I know quite a few that are done.
