I favored Webb City and after the game, being there to watch it all, I wouldn't change that prediction.. Trust me, I'm very happy Kearney won, but Webb wins that game by more than a touchdown if both teams play their best game. Webb made some very blatant mistakes.. Like the roughing the kicker that led to a TD instead of the FG... That would have complete changed things.

It was a nice win by Kearney and congrats to them. They took advantage of webbs mistakes. I am not sure anyone who watched walked away saying Kearney was the better team. We were on the Kearney side at the end. The few fans I talked to gave me the impression they knew they beat a better team. That's why we play the games.

I'm not sure who walked away watching the first half not thinking Kearney was a better team the way they dominated. Webb could not handle Kearney;s swarming speed defense. Their first two possessions were minus 9 and minus 10 yard --three and outs. And they only had 76 total yards of offense in the first half. Webb came back and looked great for one quarter of play (and really padded their stats in the fourth)...but it looked like desperation, being down 17-7. Kearney dominated the first half and the third quarter...the lines of scrimmage especially in the first half. One quarter of better football by Webb in the fourth didn't make me think they are a better team by any stretch. Hard hitting and special teams are part of football too..Kearney was WAY better at those things. The obvious fumble by Roderique at the 20 recovered by Kearney...that was called wrong, just made me think if Webb were to win, that Kearney would have been screwed.

I give Kearney credit better then I saw them play. They had a great defensive
scheme against Webb and had the players to defend it. So I give Kearney total
credit I am not a Webb fan as a lot of you thank since I have retired from coaching
high school football for 32 years a do a lot of research and watch lot of teams. So I
totally was wrong Had Lamar game correct and John Burroughs missed CBC

Kearney had superior QB play, special teams, and they were more physical. The first couple Webb three and out drives with negative yards set the tone, as did knocking out their punt returner. Kearney could have built a bigger lead in the first half but squandered opportunities.
