What's your playoff roster look like?

We could have Holliday, Grichuk, Jay and Adams back soon. That's great for September because all the young guys can stay, but what about the playoff roster? Holliday will be in LF if he is reasonably healthy, they can't leave Grichuk off IF he comes back healthy, I don't see how they could leave Piscotty off now and you have Jay and Adams if they also show anything when they come back. Then at least one starting pitcher will go to the pen. Plenty of guys down there they could leave off the roster but who will it be and which rotation guy gets that assignment?

With as many off days as you go, cards really shouldn't be carrying more than 11 pitchers. That's the easy fix. Of course they won't do that.

I suspect bourjos and Reynolds aren't on it relative to a lot of others.

I have no idea on the rotation. Maybe one of them stays in the pen like Martinez? And what if wainwright ever comes back??? In a vacuum I guess wacha Lynn and lackey are in the rotation unless they tank due to experience.

Surely Reynolds would be on ahead of the new guy that hasn't produced much yet. At least he's HR threat off the bench. I think Martinez would be the most effective out of the pen, either long or short role, but if he pitches well the rest of the way I can't see them sending him to the pen. I'd say Garcia has to be in the rotation, assuming he keeps going like he has been and being the only lefty. IF Wainwright comes back he will HAVE to be a reliever, no way he can get in shape to start. He could be a 7th or 8th inning guy I guess.

Wainwright to pen Moss to press box I don't think Adams Bourjous or Holiday will be on the roster. Both Matts because they will not be healthy Who knows right now I'm hoping we can hold on to the division because the Pirates and Cubs just won't go away. The bigger question could be who pitches the play in game!!!!!!!!

Assuming all four bats AND Waino are healthy...which I don't think they will be...but just to play along with the question (which me thinks is a good one, btw, was just wondering the same as I was watching yesterdays game.

Molina, Cruz, Adams, Reynolds, Marp, Peralta, Wong, Garcia, Holiday, Grichuck, Heyward, Piscotty, Bourjos

Lackey (#1), Wacha (#2), Garcia (#3), Lynn (#4), Maness, CMart, Seigrest, Waino, Choate, Broxton, Rosie.

I think there's no way this happens, as even if all of these guys are healthy...Koz gets a spot for some reason, which leaves Garcia off. I don't think Waino will be back, and even if he is I just don't see him being that effective from the pen. He doesn't have the same arm he did in 05. CMart would be solid from pen. Lackey would get the play in start if that happens. I'd follow that crazy mf'er anywhere. I also think, for whatever reason, that Garcia would be behind Lynn, even though Lynn has been less than stellar lately. And there's probably no way they'd only carry 11 pitchers. Would make decisions much tougher for MM, which isn't a good thing. And if Jay can even hold a bat, he'll get the nod over PB. But I can dream, right???
