Now they say he's still not ready???? A couple of days ago he was ready and they were gonna get him in a game before the allstar game so he could participate in that in some fashion.

Is it just his age that won't let him heal up from the hammy strain or was it something worse and they won't say so? Hard to imagine him coming back and hitting like he was when he went down, not to mention playing LF.

I just highly suspect that the doctors have just gone over board. Wong was out two+ games with a bruise. He didn't have a concussion or he would have had to be out longer.

Our 8th inning set up man has been out for months.

Sometimes you just need to play at less than 100% but this is no longer the mentality.

Something about 48 hour rest period if a concussion is suspected. Heard the Cardinal talking heads about it so it might not be true

Haven't heard that before but they are being MUCH more careful with any blow to the head these days. Can't say that's bad thing I guess.
