Jontay Porter 6'8" sophomore from Tolson high school in Columbia, Missouri has committed to the University of Washington. Jontay is the little brother of 5-star Michael Porter Jr 6'9" who has yet to commit. Lorenzo Romar has offered a coaching position to Michael Porter, the father of Jontay and Michael Jr. Michael Porter has turned down the Washington position in favor of staying @ Missouri as an asst to the women basketball team.

Rumor has Lorenzo Romar in trouble @ the University of Washington and could relocate to Columbia, Missouri if and when Kim Anderson moves on. If Missouri has interest in a package deal involving Lorenzo Romar as basketball coach, Michael Jr. and Jontay Porter could enroll @ Missouri and other top players would follow.

I've gotta ask, is the above a possibility or totally impossible? What would it take to get the " Wal Mart " money flowing back to the University of Missouri?

The University Of Washington has won their last two games ( Defeating UCLA and USC ) which turned down the heat a bit on Lorenzo Romar but the heat is still there.

Mizzou should not be interested in Romar. The first and last call Rhodes should make when he lets Kim Anderson go after this season is Kelvin Sampson at Houston.

WC, Would Rhodes block out the past to pave the way for the future by hiring Kelvin Sampson? The Porters could be the future for the Missouri Tigers. The Porters ( Michael Porter Jr. ) could open up the flood gates for the top talent in Missouri to enroll @ Mizzou. WC, am I wrong on the above post? I'm guessing CBC coach Justin Tatum or Cory Fraizer will be in future talks with Missouri if St. Louis University doesn't hire Justin or Cory first.

Justin and Cory probably aren't going there unless they are hired by a new coach. Why go be an assistant for a guy who will probably be gone this year or next year?

Yes, porter is not coming here, and you don't hire a coach for one recruit. What Sampson was punished for is no longer illegal.

Maybe not one...but two...or three...I could see a scenario where Michael says I'll play for you at MU, if you're the coach. Jontay has already committed. Not sure the 8th grade brother at Gentry is high D-I good, but...Dad gets an assistant position. I can see this as Romar's sales pitch. And I could see MU buying it. One of those players is a OAD that puts you on the map. It's at least intriguing. But I agree cow, no way Michael goes to MU. Especially as it is now. This is the absolute only scenario I could see him as a Tiger.
