Remember a few months back? According to Fox, Peggy Noonan, Joe Scarbrough, etc
we were all in danger because our government was
mishandling the outbreak. Do you know of anyone
who died? This must be a cover up.

These things happening in such a relatively quick order makes it easy to point out to SS classes how the ruling elite need boogeymen.

Russia first.
Then Drugs.
Then AQ.
Then Ebola
Now ISIS.

Just keeps the droolers from asking the tough questions.

Agree on media hysteria but blame ratings instead of politics. Although both parties will fuel the hysteria anytime a news story will give any indication of fault for the other party.

Ratings is a fair blame for CNN/whatever, but it doesn't explain politicians yelling for bans on flights or putting people into quarantine for no reason.
