What are the plans in the WEMO? Were they able to add any affiliate football-only schools to assist in the two divisions?

No. The Wemo Superintendents voted on adding Butler & Sherwood. The vote was close, but the Adrian School Board voted against adding Sherwood & Butler. I'm not sure why, I'm sure they must have a reason, but probably not football related. Which in the long run, over the next few years, will probably be the nail in the coffin of 11 man football in the WEMO.

Adrian wanted in the Ozark Mountain when it was being formed for wrestling only. I'm sure that is part of it.

Apparently McCluer South-Berkeley is not having football in ‘19

Wonder what McCluer South-Berkeley did with the $25 grand Ellen DeGeneres gave them last year???

Doubtful

I would say doubtful. Didn’t McAuley coop back about five years ago ? When they were bumped to class two?

I think McAuley tried to coop with College Heights at that time. I'm just curious this time as I read in the Jasper board minutes from January that they were looking into it and communicating with McAuley on it. That's the latest minutes posted.

Think they did co op. Bumped them up to have the privilege of playing Lamar in district. Whoops!

I think for Jasper, there's more positives to this than negatives. Sure, it could be Lamar, but no one hardly wins Class 1 anyways with Valle. You sometimes have to choose your monster, and in this way, it's just up the road. More numbers will hopefully be on the roster, and for Jasper, it may help them escape the 8-man tug for awhile, if permanently. It could be good PR in terms of seeing if any other 3rd and 4th string larger neighboring district athletes may want to relocate, if they're getting Joplin regional kids to play there. Jasper is in a geographical trap, and this coop could be good if completed. They really have nothing to lose in trying it.

2016 - Penney
2017 - Monroe City
2018 - Hayti

Did you travel back to 2015 to make that statement?

What about his statement was wrong exactly?

The last 3 have not been Valle. So other teams obviously did have a chance.

Yes, and his statement of "no one hardly wins Class 1 with Valle in it" is true though. Three other teams have won in a 10 year period.
See my edit. I was saying other teams had a chance. He was making it to be that no one else even had a chance. Yes Valle has won 6 of last 10, but they also didn’t win last 3, so acting like no one else had a chance is false.

He wasnt acting like no one had a chance.

He said, and I quote, "No one hardly wins Class 1 with Valle anyway" which is factually accurate. Yeah they haven't won since 2015, but they've won 60% of the titles the last 10 years. His statement was spot on.
