Getting back on topic, wouldn't you think it would require a minumum of a string of district championships and/or deep playoff runs (e.g. consistently in quarters, semis or finals)? Something that seems to be a little lacking in the above example.

I'm fairly familiar with C2. Obviously Lamar is on another level. But outside that when I think of quality, consistently good C2 teams I think MVBT Liberty, Lawson, Higginsville, Brentwood. Teams that you see every year winning districts, playing into the quarters, etc.

Did i ever tell you guys about the time we had a shot to get into the playoffs agiasnt Walnut Heights? Let me set the scene for you... Ampipe wearing the black and gold and a tough steel mining town. Walnut Heights wearing stupid red and silver (dumb color combination if you ask me)... They had everything. Swim team, golf team, gymnastics, and boys and girls tennis. We had football. I hated those guys. They had a stud back that i thought if i knocked him on his ass i could write my ticket to any college i wanted to go to. We had this football of this team from the 30's that last won a championship. He all touched it in the locker room for good luck. Obviously it wasnt that good luck if no one had one a championship since the freaking 30's. Any way... what was i talking about??? what was this post about?

Stef, there is nothing wrong with reliving the glory days! Im still in Ampipe so I get to enjoy them every season! Man that Walnut Heights game was one for the legends. Too bad that Rat Coach Nickerson lost us the game!
