What a mess at Class 4

District 4. Lift For Life scoreboard did not work so game was delayed. Finally get going and after the first game, they clear the gym before letting people in for the next game! I guess you lose a lot of fans that way I assume. It was an AAU tournament all over again. Clock included.

Not sure I have seen that at the District level before... I remember it happening once on a Finals night where they cleared between a girls championship game and a boys championship game, but technically that is two different tournaments.

I assume that's what they're going to do in class 4 district championship at Dexter Saturday. Girls play at 2 and the boys don't play til 6. Money grubbers if I've ever seen em.

Gotta love STL schools and their malfunctioning or nonexistent score keeping/timekeeping equipment.

See: Kennett @ Cardinal Ritter in football state playoffs a few years back.
Ritter didn’t even have a play clock and they were hosting a playoff game LOL

To be fair, this seems to be a STL private school problem more than it does a STL school problem period.

And let’s not even get started on stadium lights for football up there.

I wonder, do the gyms operate strictly off of skylights? 🤣🤣🤣

Why couldn't they just use the digital scoreboard instead or move the game to the auxiliary or middle school gym?

I was wrong about the class 4 district championship games at Dexter. The boys play Cape ND at 6 Friday evening and the girls play Saxony at 2 Saturday. They still get to charge twice for the championship games when they could have played them the same day.
I also just realized Cape ND girls are not in this district, they got bumped up to class 5. They've done their best to confuse me but I guess that ain't too hard to do. 😘
