The Birds out of position players so they walk Diaz and put Carp, who had walked, on 2nd with the go ahead run to get to Wainwright pinch hitting and it turned into a disaster for Pittsburgh when he hit a gapper to score 2 and it went down hill from there. Cards pass the Pirates for 2nd place in the division, AND the Cubs lost.

Or he's just better against the Cards than other teams. Happens that way sometimes.
To be fair...over the course of the last 5-8 seasons...if you were an MLB lefty starter that threw at least one game against the Birds...it's a reasonably solid wager your numbers were going to be worse against the rest of the league. Just nice to see them hit a lefty now and then this season.
Yeah I was just happy to se them hit a lefty and especially one that has been very tough on them historically.
