what is the latest on the HC jobs at west plains and moberly? i hear spoon is after both and perhaps preferring moberly (his dad coached there) also hear he is in on dixie and going after MU assistant spot ?
any other rumors?

I've heard Coach Spoon would like the job but has no Master's Degree. that was a requirement when the job was posted. Any truth Lil' Bucket?

That is one of the qualifications. Personaly I cannot see changing to fit one applicant that doesn't really have a proven track record and has been making a lot more money than we can afford. This is our requirement at Moberly.

That's the ad

at West Plains. SMS-WP does not require a MA. But, the Moberly job description requires a Masters. Just in case there was some confusion.

I heard there were only two serious contenders at Moberly anyway.

Re: That's the ad

ok...I am assuming the Moberly job requires a master's because the coach has to teach class as well?

Re: That's the ad

That is odd I live in Moberly and I understand there is at least 5 good applicants. I don't know how someone far removed ftom the scene can be so knowledgeable.

Just what I heard

from someone with inside information. They may be closer than you are wink wink!

Re: Two serious contenders

Rumor has it that a very successful junior college coach applied for the position on the last day for applications. This coach's teams have been nationally ranked over the years. His teams are successful both on and off the court. He graduates his players and moves them on to good NCAA programs. I hear his resume is very impressive with recommendations and endorsements from many top NCAA Coaches.

Re: Two serious contenders

Kelly Green is not the rumor that i heard. The name I heard was Jimmy Voight the coach at Eastern Oklahoma. His team won the Three Rivers Tourney this year and defeated Three Rivers soundly at Three Rivers. I was also told that his team played West Plains a close tough game early at West Plains.
