West Plains spotted Glendale the first 22 points of the game, but had plenty of offense - and time - to recover. The Zizzers had a monster night on the ground, rushing for 461 yards. Keegan Hoopes had 21 carries for 259 yards and 3 TDs for West Plains. QB Sam Hall was 8-for-18 passing for 149 yards and 3 TDs, and also added a score on the ground. Defenisvely, Dawson Nauschwander tallied 4 sacks. Glendale led 22-20 at the end of the first quarter and 36-28 at halftime. The Zizzers took their first lead of the game, 48-44, late in the third quarter. For the Falcons, QB Alex Huston finished 42-for-69 for 743 passing yards. From Ky3

Wish I could of got a photo of the sack by Neushwander. He bent the kid in half. But give the quarterback credit he is a tough kid with a bright future.

Lol it's true very few teams play good defense anymore ! Webb does and ...... Um lol I didn't think there would that many points scored but I knew WP wouldn't hold Glendale under 21 .

Nobody will run the ball consistently against west plains this year. The defensive backfield is a little young, especially when you have 5 DBs on the field and your starting safety is out. But other than that, they did alright. The first half was a train wreck defensively, but they made adjustments and took over the game. It's gonna be dang near impossible for anyone to stop Glendales passing attack. Over 1800 passing yds in 3 games. I'll be surprised if anyone holds their QB to under 400 yds this year. And that includes in district play as well.

I hope they have the opportunity to play Webb this year. But more than likely it will be a rematch with Carl juction. It will be a very tough game. But one I think they will win this year.

Well if the district standings shake out like they did last year, and WP beats CJ, then they'll have the opportunity to play Webb.

Does Glendale even attempt to play defense or simply try to get turnovers? Are they just scoring so fast that the other team has more posessions? It sounds like the Loyola Marymount of high school football......the faster they score the faster we get the ball back.

I gather that West Plains is a good free throw shooting team... o_O

I bet if they face West Plains will beat Carl Junction. CJ throws the ball a lot but not as much as Glendale does .

Nobody will consistently run on WP this year?? Kickapoo might have something to say about that.

They thought that last year when they had Malachi Stout and Tony Grant both, didn't work out so well.

This is the best run defense I've seen from anyone in about 10 years and I've been North and South and East to West in this state.

And your basing that bold statement off three games?

Your entire fanbase bases a guaranteed state championship this year off of the fact that you've won it five years in a row...
I think my analysis is a little more reasonable.
I have the utmost respect for Webb City with that being said.
Let's not make something out of nothing here. Maybe I will eat my words here in a few weeks, but we shall see.

Dude I did not say a thing about WC... In fact it was Kickapoo who I very clearly said might have something to say about that. I asked about your bold prediction because there is a lot of football to be played in a very offensive driven Ozark conference.

I was referring to what I'm basing my opinions on vs what the vast majority of your fans on here base their opinions off of. Like I said, I've respected Webb for many years. Used to have a family member that coached in the old Southwest Conference against them.

Kickapoo doesn't have the one-two punch that they had last year, I just don't see them being able to run the ball consistently against WP. Stout will get some yardage, no doubt. He's a great athlete. Their passing game on the other hand is a mystery. They haven't had to do much of it. Definitely didn't have to this week with 7 Joplin turnovers.

I don't want to rain on your parade. I think so far West Plains looks like a legit top 10 team in C4, maybe top 5. In 3 games though against teams a combined 2-7 they have surrendered 95 points so I don't know that I would proclaim that a team like Kickapoo won't be able to run on them,

Imo Kickapoo is the team to beat in the OC right now but WP probably has the best shot to unseat them.

Oh I get what you're saying, trust me. And I never said that they wouldn't run on WP. They just won't be able to run the ball consistently IMO. As cardsbeatwriter mentioned earlier, it's only 3 games so far, and WP hasn't got to the best part of their schedule yet. Which will be Weeks 4,5, and 6. Which is Joplin, Lebanon, and Kickapoo. So we'll see if I'm right or not. I have no problem admitting I'm wrong, and I am quite obviously biased so you can take my words for what they are. Not trying to ruffle anyone's feathers. Just calling it how I think things will play out as of now.

Good grief, does Glendale even attempt to tackle? Judging from those highlights, I would have to say no.
