Watching this game for the first time this morning and here is my opinion on the Zizzers so far on the year:
Positives
-QB Isaiah Jones has got a cannon & the kid can run. He doesn’t look as experienced as the QBs of the past for WP, but he gets the job done. He can run it and he can throw it.
-the WR tandem of Hughston & Kenslow is pretty dang solid.
And here are some of the things that I think need to change, and if they don’t… WP will win the games they are supposed to, but none of the ones they aren’t.
-the defense is good, BUT not good enough.
-the OL situation needs to improve. I’m sure playing both ways majority of the time isn’t helping, but the QB and the RBs are having issues and 90% of the time it’s because a lack of protection. WP is just really struggling in the trenches.
-the RB situation is hurting them more than anything. They’ve had a stable at that position for years and right now, the people they’ve got running the ball might be the best they’ve got, but they’re just not good enough. Someone needs to have that dog in them at that position or come post season, even if they get out of districts, they will get destroyed.
OL and RBs seem to be hurting them the most in my opinion.

I’m not knocking the 2-way players, sometimes you’ve gotta do what you’ve gotta do. The defense would probably be worse if they didn’t have a lot of these guys playing two ways.
