Union looked pretty good. West plains pretty much not so much. If West Plains is going to have success, somebody’s gonna have to step up and be the leader on the team this year, but hey, it was the first game I foresee them improving over the year.

Tough opening game. Did Joyner not play? I didnt see her listed in the scoring I saw. Or did she just struggle

She played, no one was aggressive going to the basket. Defense was lacking as well. They have three new starters trying to learn their position and role.

Lawson and Joyner are 3 & 4 year starters but everyone else was JV last year. The only one coming back that got good minutes off the bench was a 5’9-5’10 guard.

The rest are going to have to settle in so the veterans can do their thing.

Union is good though. That’s a tough draw for your first game of the season. I also looked at WPs schedule as a whole and it is much tougher this year than it has been in a LONG time.
