Sometimes, there are enough "basketball players" on the football team to round out a really nice, deep h.s. basketball team. Most of the time, in my experience and for whatever reason (I'm sure there are more than a few), there just isn't the crossover from successful football program to successful basketball program. There are exceptions through the years, though.
