Only 43. KC Suburban Conferences: Gold should be defending Class 6 champ Liberty North. Silver looks to be between Lee's Summit North and Liberty. Red between Fort Osage and Oak Park. White Platte County and Blue Kearney. What do we have 60 somedays before kickoff?
Blue won't be as easy as many may think for Kearney but it definitely is between them and Smithville. Gonna be beyond interesting to see how the Warriors look after Ambroson's departure for Jewell.Kc suburban
Gold LN
Silver I'm buying into Liberty
Red is really tight between OP and FO if I had to pick I'd go with OP
White while PC may be the favorite in many minds I think GV puts another good team on the field and beats them.
Blue is Kearney EZ
MRVC west odessa
East LC
Liberty North opens vs. Blue Springs South. Not a game I could put in Pick Em for instance but one I'd definitely keep my eyes on.Blue won't be as easy as many may think for Kearney but it definitely is between them and Smithville. If you know them it is Higginsville not Lafayette County. I think that was a sell out to Mayview.Kc suburban

Still believe they were 1000x better than their record last year.Liberty North opens vs. Blue Springs South. Not a game I could put in Pick Em for instance but one I'd definitely keep my eyes on.

Higginsville just put in a turf field.
Yes it will be fun watching how the 20 some new “Ozark something or another” conferences play out in their inaugural year. The new COC looks tuff. I was just looking them over that will be a brutal conference.
West I would say Webb, Carthage, Republic, Joplin, Neosho, and Willard.
East, Nixa is loaded, Lebanon, Kickapoo, Waynesville Ozark and Glendale,
The new Big 8 is going to be really brutal too, might be pretty hard to come out unbeaten.
Mt, Vernon, Seneca, Nevada and Lamar have to be the top dogs.
cAssville, Monett, Mac County, Aurora and East Newton are up and coming.
Yeah it pretty much is back to the old big 8 at one time all these guys were in the conference. It will be nice to play MV and Aurora yearly again.Yes it will be fun watching how the 20 some new “Ozark something or another” conferences play out in their inaugural year.
When you say new Big 8 is that the same as the old Big 8???
I’m tossing and turning on if I’m picking MV or Lamar. I think Lamar will be dominant again, but MV has really rebuilt their program, And it only takes one upset or something along those lines in the big 8.Hard to pick anyone other than Lamar. Seneca will be good again, but have to replace some real dudes. Mt Vernon is loaded. This is the year they have been waiting on.
Nevada graduated a lot.Not sure I trust Nevada, I expected them to be the toughest yet last season. Seneca and Lamar and MV have pieces to replace. I feel it’s MV/Lamar/Senecas to take.
That’s what I figured, so did Seneca. I think it’s Lamar’s or MV to lose this year.Nevada graduated a lot.
Will Mac County be any good? That’s what I figured, so did Seneca. I think it’s Lamar’s or MV to lose this year.
Yeah! They could be still fairly peppery. Totally depends on if they can replace a few college recruits including a D1 lineman or not. Will Mac County be any good?
Aren’t they still in the conference?
@RawMeat_III approves your usage of the word peppery!Yeah! They could be still fairly peppery. Totally depends on if they can replace a few college recruits including a D1 lineman or not.

Of all other leagues in this NWMO region watch the MRVC West. I continue to think you can put 5 of them (Odessa, Oak Grove, Harrisonville, Warrensburg and Pleasant Hill) in a barrel and draw lots. East how do you go away from Higginsville?
MEC could be a three team horse race but I really like St. Pius X this year. GRC and WEMO have (way) insufficient information pretty much per usual because I mainly follow classes 4-6.
Looks like you are correct but the "official" website still lists 5 but clue is Ruskin in the Blue which is no longer the case. There are only 4 divisions in the KC Suburban Conference
Found these on the Examiner site:Looks like you are correct but the "official" website still lists 5 but clue is Ruskin in the Blue which is no longer the case.
Geography?? Pc and belton in same???? Not buyingEarly picks for each:
Gold - Liberty North
White - Fort Osage vs. Platte County winner
Red - Liberty
Blue - Kearney
The new geography makes tons of sense plus it explains some of the scheduling changes.
Honestly that is not as bad a trip as it may appear.Geography?? Pc and belton in same???? Not buying
i mean its an hour on a bus passing damn near 80% of the schools in the conference along the way lolHonestly that is not as bad a trip as it may appear.
All interstate, though. Not like the Grandview triangle ever sees rush hour traffic.................i mean its an hour on a bus passing damn near 80% of the schools in the conference along the way lol

I still wouldn't mind them trying the pure geographic approach some day.Completely attendance based

I think about that oftenI still wouldn't mind them trying the pure geographic approach some day.
It has to, no question, be done reasonably i.e. Liberty schools play the largest NKCs and both Park Hills not the outer suburbans unless these communities grow quite a bit.I think about that often
Would the Liberty schools would group with Kearney/Excelsior/Smithville or more to the NKC district schools. Or would/could that be a conference
I always get stuck on that thought lol
I think you will have to have some depth this year in the conference to win out, you may not have a week to rest a player before another brutal game. So your backups will be key. That’s what I figured, so did Seneca. I think it’s Lamar’s or MV to lose this year.
Big 8 football. Good stuff. Yeah, I think Seneca after doing some further insight will be right there again. I hadn’t talked enough with dads of kids in the younger classes about Seneca. Needed further research. lolI think you will have to have some depth this year in the conference to win out, you may not have a week to rest a player before another brutal game. Lamar should be good, I agree it could be theirs to lose, but not sure about the depth? I think this conference will be brutal.
While Seneca did graduate a lot, those younger classes have always been really good, going all the way back to youth. I think they reload.
MV's Seniors have been starting since they were freshmen, this is their year now or it will be awhile again. However this is also the first year they will face a conference schedule that will challenge them week in and week out, and not sure about the depth?
Mac County was decent last year but they are losing some really good skill guys. I don't think they will challenge for conference supremacy but I think they will be a hard out week in and week out. They could change the look of who wins the conference.
Nevada, they always have a huge number of kids out for football and they run that system really well. I think they will be okay, maybe they won't win the conference but I do think they too should have a say in who does.
East Newton was young last year they started a few freshmen and at times looked good. They should be improved.
cAssville is interesting pick, they should have some kids back and they could return to top form, still might be a year away or so.
I have not seen Aurora not sure what they have coming back, but I expect they will play hard and test you ever week.
Monett we will be young and a have new coaching staff, be interesting to see how these kids shake out and how they will they adapt.
I am just really excited to get this year started. Conference should be fun I believe. Like to see a few in the title games again.
I think Monett should be alright. You go 0-10 you only have one way to go now. That's only the third time we have ever done that in our history...Big 8 football. Good stuff. Yeah, I think Seneca after doing some further insight will be right there again. I hadn’t talked enough with dads of kids in the younger classes about Seneca. Needed further research. lol
I think Cassville will be good again soon. Maybe this year? Maybe not. We shall see.
Think Monett is on an upward trajectory?
