Weekend Playoff Rundown - in a nutshell.

8 MAN CHAMPIONSHIP
Sacred Heart vs. Worth County. I have no idea. I’ll go with Sacred Heart.

1 PLAYOFFS
East Buchanan at Monroe. Toss up.
Lockwood at Valle Catholic. Blowout.


2 PLAYOFFS
Lafayette County at Clark County. I'll go with Higginsville.
Lamar at Lutheran North. Wow..game of the week.

3 PLAYOFFS
Maryville (MO) at Blair Oaks Another good game. Within 10 points.
Lutheran South at Mt. Vernon. I have no idea.

4 PLAYOFFS
Ladue at Parkway Central. Too Close to call.
Platte County at Webb. Webb muscles to a 14+ point win.

5 PLAYOFFS
Fort Zumwalt North at Pattonville. Deciding the runner-up.
Carthage ) at Staley. Staley by 28.

6 CHAMPIONSHIP
Christian Brothers vs. Blue Springs. Too close to call. Watch for Blue Springs to do something stupid. Like start a fight and get ejections.

Sacred Heart (Mainly because I’ve never watched either)
Monroe City (great team, fun to watch)
Toss up (weather will greatly effect all teams
In the state, but it will really hurt passing teams like Valle. Lockwood has a chance.)
Clark County (Lafayette County was exposed against Holden.)
I really want Lamar so I’ll pick them. But it will be a good game for sure.
Blair Oaks in a blowout.
Mount Vernon keeps rolling.
Who cares? I guess Ladue
Webb City in a blowout
Pattonville again for the win!
Staley even if the passing game is effected.
Class six stinks who cares.

Where did the Blue Springs deal come from???
I would watch for them to dominate CBC up front on both sides, like they did a good Park Hill team last week.
 
I'm rooting for Valle, Lutheran North, Platte County, PATTONVILLE, CARTHAGE, and Christian Brothers College.

"Look for BS to start a fight." What the...???

Sacred Heart has a great chance to win it because of how athletic their QB is and having 6'5 receivers on the perimeter. Teams have struggled to meet their athleticism all year. WC just goes out and beats you with physicality and discipline. Will be a game of old school football vs. new age spread. I see SH in a shootout.

LW doesn't have much of chance sadly.Great kids and great first year coach, but they lost to PC and Sarcoxie by healthy margins who lost to Thayer in the same manner, who lost to Valle. Monroe City was good last year, probably has a good shot to win it all this year.

Lamar is Game of the Week and I feel that this might get out of hand toward the LN side, but wouldn't be surprised if Lamar won by 3 scores either. CC seems to be the upstart team that every year makes it to a title game, so going with them.

Other classes not so sure of, except I would like to see Mt. Vernon make it because of Coach Cox and Webb seems to be Webb. To quote Herbstreit, "They go out and beat you with a garden hose for four quarters and make it seem much longer."

Unfortunately, I think using the term long shot for 2 of those would be an understatement. I would have put no money on LW, Mt V, or Car to make it this far 4 weeks ago. Not that they don't have hopes but Great seasons if it ends now for any of those 3. A loss by WC or Lamar will not meet their fan's expectations.

If they haven't changed, it's due to coaching and culture. Are you saying the coaching and culture is chronically wretched?

btw....this is the first i've ever heard of this sort of thing out of BS, for what it's worth.
 
8 Man- I'll go with Sacred Heart - Only because they destroyed Greenfield
twice.

Class 1- Monroe City- A guess
Valle- Because I don't think Lockwood is that good and Valle is

Class 2- Higginsville- A guess
Lamar- But injuries last week to a stud running back, center, and
previously the quarterback have made this fan a little nervous

Class 3- Blair Oaks- Because its at BO
Mt. Vernon- They are playing good ball right now Go Big 8!!!

Class 4- Webb City- Everyone else is playing for 2nd

Class 5- Staley- Same as Webb City

Cass 6- Don't know anything about either team

Ivey and Warmach left the team because they couldn’t be team players. BS had 4 very talented running backs this year. Some thought they should have more carries than others. Bailey and Marquez have stepped nicely and with the addition of #2 they still have a very potent running game.
