I'd bet my left arm that Liberty North - Lee's Summit North game is way lower scoring than that. Who will win is anyone's guess, though.

All about the Ds in this one. Week 1, too. Were this one later in the season my tune may change. On that note just a smidge but agree he is gonna be a top notch one.

I've debated whether the PC game vs. K will be a turbo or not. I will give PC the benefit of the doubt. Last year the question was how many if any of the first three games K would win, and they won them all. All those games were versus vet teams with stacked rosters and 2-3 year decorated QB returners.

This year my thought is how many turbos can K get the first three games. The team D is much faster and better. The O should stay pat or improve slightly. They do miss the X factor of Grace on O, who put up two 40+ yard TDs on Smithville and carried them to the win against PC last year at the end of the game with two late TDs. Also, the X Factor of Noland, who had a big pick in the Fort game for a TD, and some devastating hits.

When you need the X factor, who steps up? Or will they even need it? Possible two turbos in the first three games.

I think the point this year is, while coming in relatively inexperienced, K's first three games are against top notch PROGRAMS. I would particularly watch what Fort tries to do with their all everything JR RB. Tomorrow is now all about stamina, too. Given what I see (weather another of my zillions of hobbies) this extreme humidity will bank up against the cool front tomorrow night. Could be THIs above 110 all the way til midnight. Definitely something I would assume all the coaches etc. are all over by now.

This will be the swamp humidity on Midnight Madness scrimmage night on a massive dose of steroids.

I want to see what K does with their RB, Emmons. 4.5 40yd, compact. Physically stronger.

This is going to be a beast mode running game with the screen always in play plus WOW the WR corps especially Linthacum (I always misspell his name, sorry). Any production from the TE unless the OL which has also looked good racks up injuries etc. GOOD LORD.

So are we thinking some games might get postponed this Friday then? Or are we just getting 8pm kickoffs still?

Only will comment on the non Pick Em games: Excelsior is gonna really have its hands full this year. Thought about putting Battle-Park Hill probably will wish I had. NKC should distance Hickman. Fred vs. the house he built won't be close again sorry to say. Agree OP and RS by all they want (the battle of Raytown may be close this year hint). Smithville will distance Raytown maybe a turbo. Pius is the hardest read North of the River in KC at least at this pre-season point.

I would not be surprised to see some Saturday night games. Chiefs are home at Noon that day even though it is preseason doubt this area schedules against it plus it will still be quite hot/humid (just not raging like this week) that afternoon. I believe the Troy Buchanan Wentzville Holt game already did this.

Yes, the one WR looks to be much bigger physically -- Page. He has to be 6-4 or 6-5 range. He is getting D1 visits. Then you have Linthacum back, All-State WR, and All-State baseball last year. Their next WR already has a college offer as well. The other junior RB, Williams is back healthy this year. He was badly injured last year before the season started. Can the line block for them? At least the Center will get some offers.
The strongest part of this team looks to be the D line. Looks like the three up front will all be college players somewhere next year. Backfield is fast. Noland is 4.4,

The kid from Harrisonville must be 4.3 then.

When winning coin toss do you lean take the ball or defer? I see logic in both with a team like this. Agree that D line will be ferocious. If they stop the run and force the opponents to throw could get ugly fast in many games this season.

He beat him.

And the kid from P-hill beat both of them.

Nate is from Adrian actually btw ;)

Okay.. Average times...in the 100m.

Okay.. 1/10th of a second to the Harrisonville kid. But who has been all-state three times? Noland was in the hurdles this year and two relays last year.

Noland ran in the hurdles at state and placed top 5 as a soph. Ran in two relays in 2021 as a Freshman. Both placed. He has run an 11.0 FAT, and Reynolds got a 10.91 FAT. All-state three times and on a state championship team. Maybe the Harrisonville kid will get medal someday, too? He got 11th this year. Looks good with two years left.

But most importantly,Noland is quick in a 40 and can knock the F out of people as a LB/DB

Now go back to 8-man.

Pius returns a lot from last season. Injuries derailed their season last year, led to inconsistent play. At full health they beat Maryville, wheels came off after that game. They should be very good again, but they will probably be in a very tough district with Maryville, Savannah, and Chillicothe. I believe the KC area class 3 teams are going to have a great chance to get back to state or possibly win with many of the elite St. Louis private school teams moving up in classes.

Would make sense if you are from Carthage because those scores will be way off. Close on most winners though

AND NOLAND Ran down #22 of Hillsboro, from 5 yards behind, preventing a TD, which eventually led to a four play stop. And the beginning of the end for the Hawks.

AND WHAT DID I SAY Week 1? Thanks for playing Jacktards

At State, he ran #22 from 5 yards behind Jacktard. Prevented a TD and began the onslaught. LOLLOOLLOOLL Gawd Damn...I love it when this shIt comes back.
