Last night was a tale of depth! Too many of the Carthage kids playing both ways led to their demise. First half could have easily ended 7-7. 2nd half Webb was Webb. Get up and grind it out. Webb made some things happen in the passing game. If it weren't for some dropped passes, turbo clock would have been running in the 3rd. Carthage will be fine, although the Nixa game scares me. Webb o-line has to get off the ball better next week or the Rock will even the series. Good luck to both next week.

I was hoping to see a tight game, maybe an upset but Carthage wasn't as potent as I was expecting. They looked solid at times but the ball handling really did them in by handing Webb some easy short td's and digging a hole early on. I think the Tigers will be good if they can get better control, and I hope they do, but I think they will need to improve a lot to make it anywhere in post season. I expected something like 7-9 at the half with either team up, and it could have been that had the Tigers held on to the ball.

Webb looked a lot better than I was expecting. They often look rusty at the start of the season but it didn't take them long last night to get going last night so I think it's fair to say they will again steamroll most of their opponents.

Carthage is going to win a lot of games. I thought their defense did a pretty good job of limiting big plays by WC and they had several plays that WCs defense limited to 8-10 yard plays that were close to being for big yardage or scores.

Derryberry is probably best player on both offense and defense so he will need to stay healthy or they would have 2 big holes to fill.

The longest run i can remember Webb having was 17 yards or so. That is unusual. They typically have several over 20 per game so carthage definitely defended them well.
