Webb Rebuilding Year

And, the majority in the skilled positions are underclassmen that got a love of valuable experience at the varsity level.

Let's not forget, Harrisonville did not play flawless either. They had some fumbles and penalties but what they did that Webb couldn't do is not let those hiccups bother them. It seemed Webb could not shake the effects of those mistakes whereas Harrisonville took them and just kept going forward.

I was at the game on the Harrisonville side. Take away the P6/ penalties and your still playing.

Great place to watch football. You will be back...;)
Yea the freshman receiver is going to be a tremendous asset the next 3 years. Young 8th grade man coming up that has tremendous potential

Did anyone think the rotating the QBs hurt the lineman? I think JROD is the best in the business and has forgotten more than I will ever know BUT I think the cadence being different continuously had to hurt the lineman. WEBB had a bunch of false starts.

If you watched, a majority of the false starts occurred when Webb wasn't running the play calls in, they came when the play calls were being called by holding up colored play boards and players had to look to wristbands... They have been rotating Qb's all year.

This was the first time in many years we didn't have an experienced qb waiting in the wings. All of them did a decent job running the offense. I honestly don't know if I had to pick just one of them to play the position which one it would be.

I only watched a couple of freshman games but if I remember correctly they had a QB who can really throw the ball well

One kid jumped offsides at the whistle to play... Webb had a issue with focus, or a lack there of, all evening.

Rotated two different ones though. They did with the Junior Senior, Soph only the last few games, just an observance, Sophmore leads us on two scoring drives then junior comes back in and false start false start. One came after a timeout on 4th and 1. And it wasnt like it was skill players jumping, on a few half the line moved. Regardless I would guess from what I saw throughout the season that spot has been filled. Hope a camp or two gets used as there are alot of talented youngsters that will be the big dogs the next few years.

I think the senior would have been the starter this year had he not been fighting a knee injury all year. I believe it was the other knee from the one that cut his season short last year. That opened the door for the Jr and Soph. Now between now and week 1 one next year there will be a competition for the starting job. That will be a good thing. Both are good young men.

I think there is plenty of reason to be optimistic that WC next year will be much more formidable again. We WC fans have been terribly spoiled. Winnig is tougher than it looks when the opponent is good and hungry.
