Well that puts a wet blanket on things but I am not surprised. From what I've been told, even 1 positive case results in a ton of quarantines and in most cases if 1 athlete tests positive the entire team is out.


From the school district:

Athletics Update: A Carthage High School student-athlete tested positive for COVID-19. As a result of this positive COVID-19 test and multiple quarantine orders, the varsity football game scheduled to take place on Friday, September 18 between your Carthage Tigers and the Webb City Cardinals is canceled.

The freshman football game will be played on Monday, September 21. The junior varsity game scheduled to take place on Monday, September 21 is canceled. Practice will continue as scheduled for student-athletes who are not quarantined.

Put in what sport you're interested in, distance you willing the travel, and the date needed then swipe through your matches and see if any click!

It's just a cancelled game during the regular season, but once districts/playoffs start, it will be a forfeit.

MSHSAA put out guidelines before the season, If a game is cancelled due to Covid it just counts as a non-game. If it happens in the playoffs, then, its a forfeit.
