CJ gave Webb a TD on a kickoff error. CJ had a 10 minute drive to start the game but didn't score.

It is interesting that the first time all year CJ will play a school in their class is the first round of districts.

Cj is now 1-4 and if they aren't a top 10 class 4 team I'd be shocked (ik they will never get ranked bc their record but look at their losses ) they played Webb toe to toe till the 4th qtr ...Joplin toe to toe till mid 3rd ..had Carthage beat and blew it ...they are a good football team in a very tough conference. They will never get any press but I'd be shocked it if they get beat in districts by anyone besides west plains

Yeah CJ and WP will play in the district championship. I think WP is better but only by a few players. The outcome may depend on who is quarantined.

Carl didn't "have Carthage beat." Carthage decided they weren't going to lose so they stopped giving CJ the fumbles and that was that.

I disagree . They were up 20-6 going into the 4th qtr . They had them beat and blew it

The only loss I can't explain for cj is the 1 pt loss to Branson but I'll give you plenty of excuses for it ...1) CJ had several starters out due to covid
2) CJs qb got hurt and they finished the game with a sophomore.
Also Branson seems decent

This is a very strange year because of Covid. Some weeks teams will be fully healthy and full rosters and some weeks they have multiple guys quarantined and it creates a whole different scenario for coaches and players alike. Props to CJ they controlled the pace of the game and shortened it! Good coaching if you ask me

I’m not going to say it was WC’s best game but I think CJ is a lot better than people are giving credit. CJ played hard and hung tough.

Prediction CJ 3-6 or 4-5 entering districts and have chance to make a run into the playoffs. Biggest shortfall tonight was had to play a lot of guys both ways and just fell short. WC missed some opportunities but wouldn’t say they played sloppy, they played a good opponent.

I feel like CJ's offense is 1 speedy wide receiver from being really good. They lack the speed at WR they have had in the past.

CJ is a solid team and their QB is a very good player. If they stay healthy they will be a tough out in class 4.

#12 is a solid possession receiver but agree they need to get a good stretch receiver and maybe another run threat from slot or backfield

It's official: COVID-19 is this year's version of blame it on the refs.

If we lost we had a bunch of players out to COVID, or we haven't gotten much practice time or our back-up punter was quarantined for two weeks back in August, etc., etc.

If we won, we don't know or care who our opponent had out due to COVID.

Boring.
