"If you trust only men you have lost," he told the young people in a long, rambling talk about war, trust and politics after putting aside his prepared address.
I don't have any guns in my house these days but I can't say I agree with the Pope on this issue either. There are plenty of good and decent uses for weapons that have nothing to do with war, crime or personal protection. The NRA has gone WAAAY to far in keeping common sense gun laws from being passed but I wouldn't say they're not Christians because of that. My son-in law is a hunter and fisherman and I'm sure my grandsons will be too. the 6 year old has caught several fish already. I did have a 410 shotgun and a 22 pistol I've had since I was a teenager and a rifle I got when my dad passed away. I recently gave both the rifle and pistol to my son-in-law to keep for the boys. My brother who lives in the country has the shotgun at his place. It too will go to the boys when their old enough to use it. I haven't shot a rabbit, squirrel or snake in the last 25 years so I have no need for them."If you trust only men you have lost," he told the young people in a long, rambling talk about war, trust and politics after putting aside his prepared address.
Someone doesn't like the Pope or doesn't like gun control. LOL
8 is way too early. I didn't let my kids have BB guns til 9 and rifles at 14.It's time to stop arguing about guns and gun ownership. Everyone needs to buy some guns strap them on and there should no, No Gun Zones. Make it like the old days in the west. Good grief aside for the OK Corral there wasn't any of these mass murders happening. I feel that they should put an age restriction on it though. 8 years old is probably a good age to start. When/if a person reaches 98 then they should be limited to one side arm only. The only requirement to own is money...oh wait.
Ya, I know. I could detect the sarcasmB&G I don't think he was being serious
