We signed Holland supposedly

does seem a little stiff on that basis although the marginal value of a win is pretty high to the Cards right now
If you guys had actually signed a few other pieces in the winter..... I'd agree.

I don't think you're going to get the same Ozuna you saw in Florida. There is no Stanton around him. And he's the biggest threat in the lineup.

No doubt he helps a, in my opinion, weak bullpen. But I'm not sure he is the piece that pushes the Cardinals into a WC slot

lineup protection doesn't really exist

Bullpen, on paper, wasn't that bad. It just had a hole at the back.

Cards are probably #4 or 5 on paper in the NL. But they would be a little more certain in this with another 3 wins of talent on paper. Greg is only ~1 of those wins.

Maybe Jose Martinez will be worth a couple more wins. At one point in the game today he was 3-3 while the rest of the lineup was 3-24.

Come on now.... We both know you'd rather pitch around Ozuna to face Molina rather than Stanton.

That bullpen isn't anything I'd want to trot out there. Not the worst by any means, but that's not a playoff caliber pen. The Cubs 3rd string closer is a lefty, hitting upper 90s. Our worst pen arm is a lefty who had a sub 3 ERA last year.

Cubs, Nats and Dodgers are the obvious top 3. I can't say that Cardinals are better than the D-Backs. I'll give it a push between them the Rockies and Brewers after that though. I'm also not going to be shocked if the Phillies take a WC spot this season.... Assuming Nola stays healthy
