Not sure, but you can bet they have insurance on their players.Wonder how many GM's and MLB managers are cringing watching their best players in these games. If a player is hurt in these games are they still due their contract money.
I think there is a big difference. I watched the game last night and Martinez was clearly struggling after about 60 pitches. MM would have gone out and got him as oppose to letting him throw another 10 to 15 pitches. Not having control of how many pitches under what kind of circumstances makes a big difference. I agree with your premise especially with position players, but would disagree when it comes to pitchers. It's no different than spring training. They can all get hurt there too
I'll give you pitchers.... even more so with the islands. They don't care at all, compared to the coaches of teams like USA, Japan or Korea....where they have to answer to their professional leaguesI think there is a big difference. Better than watching 30 spring training games.I'll give you pitchers.... even more so with the islands. They don't care at all, compared to the coaches of teams like USA, Japan or Korea....where they have to answer to their professional leagues
And Eagles, it's pretty fun to watch. Seriously watch anything involving the DR, PR or Japan. It's just......well..... much more exciting than American baseball.
I tried to watch the semi last night. Fell asleep in about the 4th. But that has more to do with me being an early riser than the game. I'll watch the final tonight after I get home from baseball. Should be able to catch most of it. Bit more excited for tonight, simply because of the PR infield. Holy smokes! And Eagles, it's pretty fun to watch. I'm sure to watch tonight's game until I fall asleep. It beats spring training games, but nothing compares to opening night or day. Can't wait until 4-2I tried to watch the semi last night. Agreed on all. I made it to the 6th I think. Certainly not the game I expected. Kinsler certainly backed up his talk a bit. That was fun.I'm sure to watch tonight's game until I fall asleep. It beats spring training games, but nothing compares to opening night or day. Can't wait until 4-2

Opening day is the greatest! Lucky enough to experience once in person. During the Big Mac era. Remember being salty about having to pay $25 or $30 to park down by Purina (normally parked right next to Gittos for $5), and had forgotten about it before they even threw out the first pitch. Such a fun day.
I guess I liked it, but never made it to the 8th inning of any gameI enjoyed it, but of course winning had a lot to do with that.
Love opening day ,the smell of hotdogs, popcorn and beer. I remember one year I stood next to Busty HeartI'm sure to watch tonight's game until I fall asleep. It beats spring training games, but nothing compares to opening night or day. Can't wait until 4-2
