Parker Braun 6'9" from Blue Valley Northwest in Kansas will walk on @ Missouri.Blue Valley has won the Kansas state title for the past two years. It appears Missouri will offer Parker Braun a basketball scholarship next year 2020. The Braun family will pay for the 2019 school year.

The former Lisa Sanbothe graduated @ Washington high school in Washington, Missouri and played basketball @ Missouri is the mother of Parker Braun. Lisa's brother,Mike played basketball for Norm Stewart in the 90's.

The decision has not been made if Parker Braun will red shirt in 2019.

Jordan Geist likes this move.

I have a feeling this will be big news in a couple years. Highlights shows an ability to run the floor very well & shot well from 3. A special bonus is he has a brother who is a 6'4" point guard who will be a senior next year so could be a future Tiger.

This was great news for the future. If he chooses to red shirt he could play four years of college basketball with his brother.

I’ve seen Braun play 20-30 times during the high school and EYBL circuit, and he has some potential for sure. He brings agility, the ability to run the floor, block shots and play above the rim. He also brings the ability to hedge out and even switch onto guards on the perimeter as he has really good feet for a big guy. He could develop into a 3 and D stretch 4 type guy and has a lot of value in the modern game.

On the other hand, he still has a ways to go, needs to get stronger and more consistent and needs to continue to develop as a shooter. I would say he is a redshirt candidate if there ever was one.

I was kind of surprised that he wasn’t really drawing a significant amount of college interest until recently, but not surprised at all that he eventually blew up. I would label him a high risk/high reward type guy to be honest. He could get to Mizzou and not really develop his strength and his outside shot and not play much, or he could be an NBA draft pick in 3-4 years.

mowesten, Kansas coach Bill Self invaded Oak Park high school in Kansas City, Mo and signed Ochai Algbaji 6'5.5" on 4-12-18. Ochai is a 4-Star and has Missouri rank of 4 or 5. Did Kansas coach Bill Self out recruit the Missouri Tigers staff on this one or was Missouri not interested?
