If Wong had made what should have been an easy DP things might have been much different. THAT is the kind of play I'm talking about when I say a strike out is NOT just another out. MLB players DO screw up routine plays many times in a season but if you don't put it in play that can't happen. Wong made a great play on the pop up then couldn't find the handle to get the DP for Wacha and it turned into a big inning.

Pirates lost so the magic number still dropped one.

Watching the end of the Milwaukee game as I read this on MLB network. After back to back bombs by Miami in the top of the ninth against K-rod w/2 outs in a tied game......I'd say the playoff ship has set sail outta Milwaukee boys

Yep, the Pirates are the ones we have to hold off. With them losing a chance to gain ground last night I think the clock is about to run out on them too. I don't think the Birds will play under .500 the rest of the way and unless they falter pretty badly it's gonna be hard for Pittsburgh to catch up. Still need to keep the pressure on and win every series and go for the best record in the league.

LA will be representing the NL in the WS. So why waste your breath.

Wacha will never recover from this injury to be what he was. Whine-o can't beat really good teams
in the playoffs. Lynn is a number 4 starter who's sphincter shrinks to the size of a pin head in stressful
situations. The so-called closer can't get thru an inning without two baserunners. Come playoff time all his
walks are going to end in disaster. Matheny is worth one loss in each series with his inane decisions.

If Matt Adams looked any more exhausted he would be my grandpa.
I can see Wong coming through with some more clutch baserunning like last year's WS tragedy.
And we all know how good Holigay has been in the playoffs, cough, cough dropped fly ball vs LA to blow series.
Matheny will play his "hunches" and have DesCalso and Kozmos in the game for some fails.
That middle relief combo of Motte and Choke won't stop the hits barrage after Whine-ohs early exits due to dead arm.
