VOTE for playoff and classification choice

I posted my proposal on the thread, but here it is again for discussion:
  • C1 - Put in the 2x rule that you have in other classes. Biggest school can't be twice as big as smallest school.
  • Make all classes the same number of teams.
  • Keep regular season the same, but eliminate districts. Cap the playoffs at 32 teams in each class.
  • Top 32 using rating system will make playoffs, regardless of geography.
  • Create 4 Districts (after end of season), with Top 4 getting #1 seeds, next 4 #2, and so on.
  • MSHSAA will then set the bracket to minimize travel, but keeping teams at their designated seed.
  • Higher seeds get homefield until semifinals. Semifinals played at Neutral sites.
  • Teams that do not make the playoffs will play a week 10 game against another team that finished close to them in the ratings keeping geographic distance in mind. They will share the gate.
You can have committees of media, retired coaches, ADs, or others as volunteers to help set up the matchups after the end of Week 9 to help expedite it so MSHSAA does not have to do all of the work. I am sure there would be many that would be happy to volunteer.

That sounds interesting but entirely too much work for MSHSAA even to coordinate volunteers to do the work for them. Unless it's probable they will rake in more $$ but I actually think this system might result in less revenue because of fewer games. Anything that results in a revenue decline is an automatic no from mshsaa.
