Vianney takes down Vashon 62-57 --Franklin County teams are back in action after Christmas Vacations

Vianney 9-3 goes on the road and uses a big 4th quarter to get by Tony Iron's Vashon Woverines 9-4. C. Gordon 19 Pts., Z. Colletta 15Pts. and E. Krus 12 Pts. The Vianney coaching staff must have had a another master game plan. Vianney is very good but will play in class 5 district 8 with powerful CBC. I have CBC as the favorite but not a lock.

Franklin County teams like Borgia 3-2, Pacific, Sullivan and all the others do not play games during the Christmas holidays. The Borgia Knights will visit Cardinal Ritter 6-4 tonight after being off for 16 days. Can the vacationing Borgia Knights defeat a team like Cardinal Ritter after this long lay off?

Vianney is in class 5 district 8 with CBC in 2016. In 2015 Vianney defeated the class 5 district 1 winner Jackson 59-57. I'm guessing Vianney was in district 2 last year but moved to district 8 this year.

2015-16 class 5 districts

1---Poplar Bluff or Jackson
2.- Webster or SLUH

3.This is a walk thru district( Zumwalts, Wentzville and last year's winner Battle )
4. Francis Howell or Zumwalt South--

Webster Groves is a heavy favorite to be final four team if districts 1 plays 2 and 3 plays 4

5-Hazelwood Central or DeSmet
6-Chaminade

7-Rockwood Lafayette or Marquette
8. CBC or Vianney

I believe a class 5 state champions will come out of class 5 districts 5-8 if districts 5 plays 6 and 7 plays 8 with Chaminade being the favorite but Hazelwood Central or Vianney could schedule a trip to Columbia if Chaminade plays down.
