The libs said not to think of the USSR because that wasn't the socialism they wanted. Think Venezuela they said!

All I know about this is if Trump gets us involved militarily he has NO credibility left on anything. He constantly says we should NOT be the policemen of the world or get involved in other country's civil wars. This ain't our fight.

We won't because it isn't our concern.
My point was that socialism always fails.
It starts out wonderful takig from those that have and giving to those that don't but once the producers lose their incentive to produce, everyone suffers.

Appears to me the leaders always take what they want and leave the middle and lower income people to starve, then they fail after those folks rise up and get some help from other countries to get rid of their president/dictator.

You have to GIVE them the power (Democrat platform) before they take over.
Taking away your car, lawnmower, weed eater, chainsaw, or any gas engines plus forcing a rebuild of your home. "Free" education and healthcare and wealth redistribution, Those are socialist ideas. Do you think Venezuela started with a coup?

Trump would LOVE to have as much power as these 'strong men' types but he ain't quite there and the liberals you speak of area LONG way from being there. I've seen NONE of those folks running anywhere I have a vote and McCaskill was far from being a left wing liberal.
