It's being reported that the Vashon Woverines coached by Tony Irons defeated @ Father Tolton by the score of 65-62 tonight.

Could someone give details of the Vashon @ Tolton game tonight?

All teams are hand picked unless your school does not cut and gives equal playing time to all regardless of ability.
I assume he's talking about the difference being able to pick from players that would be at other schools opposed to picking from what walks in the door from your school's boundaries. Vashon benefitted greatly from the closing of at least one other school which had been able to draw from the whole area rather their own district.

You assume wrong - all the picking by each and every school who has a decent program starts way before they walk in the door. You have to be completely clueless not to recognize this. It is very interesting how folks just happen to end up at your schools boundaries when they have grown up many miles outside of it.

I was assuming that by the two teams he posted about. Both can and have gotten players not inside a regular school district. That does NOT happen at all public schools but as long as they move to the district it is quite legal, as it is with the two schools mentioned in the original post. I wonder a how many strong academic students that did not play basketball at the schools that closed ended up at Vashon.
