Hummmm....... Look who is playing in the final-four VAN-FAR, a team that received zero respect all season...lol. Before district play I suggested that " Van-Far has been flying way under the radar this season and I would not be surprised to see them in Springfield next month..." Congrats to the V-F tribe and enjoy this experience..!
The Milan vs V-F game was a good one as predicted...
MILAN --- 12-26-40-47--49 (OT)
VANFAR - 11-20-30-47--53
V-F was down double digets late in the game when the Indians went on a run to knot er up
at 47 just before the final tick of regulation...
The Milan squad is VERY young and well coached... Look for them to be a contender next season.
Enjoy the final four experience.... Cya there........ C (dogpa..=)~

..... In this neck of the woods class 2 district 6 includes a couple very good teams inVan-Far (Vandalia-Farber) and Canton...
In a head to head matchup at Canton 1-15

Van-Far without their injured shootest
McMorris, Canton got the "W"...
I've posted before that (21-3) Van-Far has been flying way under the radar this season and I would not be surprised to see them in Springfield next month...,

I saw Van-Far play several times this year. I said several weeks ago they were the best 1, 2, or 3 team I had seen. Definitely the best team in the EMO

....VanFar is playing in the championship game tomorrow...!
remember VF won it all in 2004...
Gooooo Indians..! C =()~

Well Dogfather it looks like you nailed this one some time ago. Congratulations on the call.
Being curious, I went back and reviewed their path to the championship. Pretty astounding really:
Districts:
Semifinal 50-47 over Louisiana
Final 67-64 over Canton
State:
Sectional 61-39 over Elsberry (The one outlier in this amazing run)
Quarters 53-49 over Milan in OVERTIME
Semis 58-55 over Mid Buch
Finals 56-55 over Hayti in OVERTIME

That means they won 5 games by a total of 14 points including two overtime games in their run. That has to be historic. Congratulations Van-Far Indians!

....For sure this was a very special team on
a mission from the onset... A big congratulations to the V-F school, community, coaches and most importantly the players on an outstanding season and winning the state championship...!
The Vandalia community including some of the players and their families have experienced many tragic hardships in recent months and I have to believe this mission was guided by a
higher power...
