That's up to USA soccer. It's not necessarily a 1st Amendment issue since USA Soccer isn't actually affiliated with the US government, whoever runs USA soccer can make whatever decision they want regarding standing or not standing.
Do I think she should stand? Absolutely.
Does she have Constitutional protections that say she doesn't have to stand? Also yes.
I'm not willing to trample on the Constitution just because someone pisses me off or I disagree with their speech or expression.
I mean it's women's soccer...on the list of things I concern myself with, that falls somewhere in between, "Do lizards have too much salt in their diet?" and "What would a rainbow look like if I had twice as many rods and cones in my eyes?"
Most of us aren't even aware there is a US Women's soccer team, and those of us who are only realize it during the World Cup.

Look for two schools where the teams I helped coach won 80% of their games and students in the classroom learned to set smart goals, make plans to achieve those goals, make thoughtful decisions regarding their personal finances and healthy lifestyle choices and have a hell of a lot of fun doing all those things.
It had to be football. Head Coach? Congrats. I believe you directed your students/ players in a different manner than I have witnessed on this site.
He was a Head Coach for three years on a team that was already established and loaded with talent. It would have taken a complete moron to screw up what he inherited.
Unfortunately he didn't leave it better than he found it. North County has had 15 mostly rough years since he stepped down.
