Hey hey! Woulda look at that! PA is represented here! Wonder where the kid played his high school ball at?

FYI. They don't play anymore after the factory shut down and Ampipe dropped down to Class 1A...but this is what the score would have been:

[2017] Walnut Heights (PA) 67, [2017] Ampipe (PA) 0 Calpreps doesn't lie.. little tiny 1A Food Stamp Ampipe is no match for AAAA Walnut Heights.

Clearly you dont know anything about Ampipe there buddy! First, there was no "factory!" We have a STEEL MILL!! American Pipe & Steel and I run the joint! We are very much alive and kicking! Second, the last time Ampipe played Walnut Heights, we beat em!

After nearly 30 years, the Ampipe Bulldogs evened the score against the rival Walnut Heights Knights on the football field.

Ampipe High School edged Walnut Heights 20-17 on Friday night in front of 4,500 fans who crammed into Trojan Stadium as part of a reunion commemorating the documentary motion picture “All the Right Moves.”

Steel making is a noble profession, did it myself for 30 years until they shut my plant down. Can't say I don't miss it!

Here, here!! Glad to know there are more than one of us on here that know the profession! I cut my teeth down in the production line. Down in the pit as we called it! Worked my way to steel mill manager! They better not shut down my mill!

Hitting on high school girls and drinking longnecks at the pool hall is where you really "cut your teeth," right?

Hey now buddy! I might have bought the players some beer, given them a ride to class during the rain, and made sure they got to class, but I aint never hit on no high school girl! Drinking longnecks at the pool hall, now thats a different story!!!

Oh I could have retired years ago Coach. I gave it some serious thought. I would probably get bored not working. Plus, whats wrong with putting more into the ole savings?? If I ever so retire, I would probably make being the Ampipe booster club president my full time job!!

Believe it or not, Northwest Missouri State only has 39% of its team from Missouri.

Traditionally Northwest has usually been about 1/3 Missouri 1/3 IA/NE/KS and 1/3 the rest of the country.

Mel was always good at getting good fringe D1 recruits from California, Texas, & Florida

I would say they are losing the battle in KC.

Certainly appears that way. Mizzou needs more Chase Coffmans and Tony Temples, to name just a few that starred in KCMO high schools before arriving in CoMo. Ok...ok...I'll take a few Shane Rays from the Kansas side too.

That's a decent ratio...for a Kansas school.
They get all the recruits out of SWMO that MSSU would hope to get with an improved program. All of the decent SWMO recruits have gone to PSU for the last several years.

Daryl Daye's refusal to recruit Missouri kids probably has something to do with that.

Shane Ray was from Missouri too, Rockhurst lost the recruiting battle though.

Daye had a winning season and beat Pitt State. Current staff lost every single game last year????
How many games did Date win his last year here? I know it was more than the zero this past season, but bringing in 30 transfers and 2 freshman per year doesn't build a sustainable program and won't work with local fans, when you still lose. The players here when Denver arrived fit Dayes option offense, but not any other. Denver had to start over and did so with freshman, sacrificing short term success to build a sustainable program. We'll see if it works. I hope it does!
