After doing a super job all game, the homeplate ump hosed the Bluejays on two high outside pitches to left handed batters with two on in the 9th. He changed the game. What a joke. Start using technology for balls and strikes now!!!!

Wah, wah, wah!!!!! Royals rock! I guess that was like the bad calls at the plate that went against Volquez on Wednesday. Throw up and get over it!

I will take that as an admission that the critical inning in the series was decided by the man in blue. Those two pitches were so far outside the pitch tracker dot was off my TV screen and on the wall in the living room.

Meh, neither team can take the Mets out anyway. NL! NL! NL!

Hahaha. Now, that's funny. Not at all. Wade Davis with the ball. End of story. That's baseball. There are calls like that throughout any game. "Wader, check please!" --- Rex Hudler
Josh Donaldson (one of the best hitters in their lineup) had a chance to drive in two. Did not do it. Grounded out to Moose! Ball game and series.
Game five pitch to Bautista by Volquez was a strike that was called a ball. Bautista walks and what was a 1-1 game was broken open. I will give that argument to you. The critical play of the series (did not involve the men in blue) was in game two when the ball hit by Zobrist dropped in behind first base between Goins and Bautista in the seventh. That led to a five-run seventh. Price had a 3-0 lead at the time on a one-hitter. That, in my opinion, is where Toronto lost the series. Gave the Royals a two games to none lead.
Just my thoughts.

When you only have to get one guy out by yourself, he is pretty good. That's baseball? Then baseball=wrestling. #Fraud.

Revere swung at a wicked slider down and in for strike three. He was not called out on strikes. Bluejays should have put the game under protest right there.

The batter before walked on a pitch that Davis threw on the inside corner that should have been strike three......so what goes around comes around

Duck_walk started the post and said "good point?" Now, that's another funny one.

I get worn out listening to the deniers who think baseball homeplate umpiring doesn't decide a huge number of games.

My take? The Blue Jays whining, arguing, and other antics finally caught up with them. Even the Jays' first base coach was mouthing at Ventura behind his back as the young pitcher walked to the dugout. The umps are human and when something borderline happens, a little bias could impact a call. The game is full of borderline calls. The Royals are proving they are the better team, and they are certainly the better characters. Go Royals!

Borderline? Bahaha.
Then the border in the 9th inning was
so huge Trump couldn't defend it.

Those weren't even close.

Duck you are a piece of work. You are either the world's biggest troll or you are deranged.
You and your zooy fans are always ragging on people on this board who are for some other team besides zooy. Saying things like if you live here you should support your flagship school, or questioning their loyalty to the state. I realize you are a Cards fan and that's fine, but they are done, you know like put a fork in them done. So why wouldn't you be a supporter of the Royals in their quest? Instead of making yourself look bad again by defending the Blue Jays. The Royals are after all a Missouri team. Envy is a embarrassing thing for you to do. I thought you were better than that.

You have this wrong. I haven't written any disparaging remarks about the Royals. Good hitters in that lineup. That doesn't change the fact that with two on in the ninth and no one out, the ump changed his strike zone to call a high pitch a foot outside a strike and made it extremely difficult for the Bluejays to score. It wasn't the Royals fault. In fact Davis was smart enough to throw the same pitch because he got it the first time. But it was horrible umpiring. And a travesty. Watch the damn inning.

Harold Reynolds described it as "up and out a little bit."

The strike zone grid was never used for the pitch, so your claim that the ball wasn't on your screen but instead on your wall is incorrect.

Borderline is the best way to describe it. From our high def TVs in our living rooms, it appeared to be a ball. From behind the plate after judging about another 300 pitches on the evening, the home plate ump called the borderline pitch a strike.

Had the Jays taken the lead in the 9th, the Royals would have thumped them in the bottom half anyway. So it's all a moot point now.

So Jose Bautista, if you flip your bat to show up the pitcher after a big home run, what do the runner and 3rd base coach do to show up an outfielder they just punked by scoring from 1st on a single?
I guess going to the World Series will have to do?

That was his laser pointer. He was teasing his cat!

So in game five at Toronto when the home plate ump squeezed the plate so that Bootista could walk all was fine and good for the BooJays but boy when they don't get their way they are the biggest crybabies that I've see the Royals play. They churp at the homeplate umpire every game.
