While watching Ohio St. I got caught up in the crazy world of Twitter. Someone suggested to look at Lin Wood's Twitter. My God he wants Pence arrested and tried for treason to face a firing squad before the 6th and allow Pompeo to count the votes and choose new electors. Someone replied with Pence is a part of the sex trafficking ring the democrats are involved in because he was handed an envelope during Bush 42's funeral. Someone else suggested JFK Jr. will be Trump's VP on the 20th.
Here is to hoping 2021 is less insane!

Now you know why Trump loves to use Twitter, he can get people to believe anything he says on there.

You have even less sense that thought you had. I at least thought you could read but you seem to be better at reading things that are NOT there.
 
He responded that is the reason Trump loves to use Twitter.
Meaning that people will believe anything on Twitter, and Trump uses it because of that reason, not because Trump is actually those specific conspiracies.
Keep worrying about not being able to understand 3R's context, while ignoring the actual audio of your boy pressuring a Secretary of State to change vote counts.
 
I just need to stay away from social media....and facebook hell probable mosports. Through this d@mn election I have seen some sides of my so called friends and family that is truly ugly, because of Trump some of them have lost thier minds and I mean on both sides of the isle, common sense and discussion has gone out the window.

That's a shame, bullit. Most of my family and friends don't discuss politics much anymore because they're tired of it and it accomplishes nothing, and it's too divisive right now.

Well many of mine have too.. but several have to slip something in there once in awhile and well I just usually cannot let that go unchallenged if the information has been proved false...maybe I should, but the person in me just cannot listen to falsehoods being spread.
 
I also stay off Facebook. That is where most of my friends and family are. My Twitter is sports and news mostly so I have been over there more. That said the crazy stuff is funny.

It is funny as I have gotten older I know pay attention to politics more than ever before and maybe I just notice it more. I was talking to a friend and about 6 beers in he told me that these battles have been raging on for years in families. And after thinking about I do remember when growing up that my Grandad was a Democrat and my Grandmother was a Republican. The old family joke back then was during election time that when they voted they basically cancelled each other out.

I know the old Duck gets pissed at me because I seem to straddle the fence, but there are many things I care about but neither party really fits those. I don't line up with either party. I do miss those days when legislation would be passed not along party lines but because it was what was best for America, now days it seems if one party pushes one idea the other has to vote the opposite because you don't want to be seen voting with the perceived enemy. I watched CSPAN last night and listened to both the Dems and Pubs, and the hate being spewed from boths sides is embarrassing, I wonder if we will ever be able to heal and come together.
 
But do you think your grandma and grandpa could have even been married in today's climate?
I would like to see us come to a place where we can be more civil, but it may take something close to a war, for everyone to see that we can do better.

I would like to think that they could have, I was really too young and not did not think much about politics. I do remember when Ford pardoned Nixon, I remember that being a big deal.

I don't think we need a war but we do need to start being more civil to one another. And I think it starts by doing exactly what me and you are doing, having a conversation and acknowledging the issues that divide us and trying to find either some common ground or understanding in each others view point.

When you talk it might take close to a war it sort of takes me back to what I saw when I watched the Georgia rally last night. It seemed exactly like that and many times they touched on it talking about it was a war for America's soul. And I know the Dems do the same thing.

I think we need to strengthen our laws be it possible campaign and start holding those running for office and holding office accountable for the things they say or are saying about others. Hell if I went out and said some of the things that these guys were saying I would be sued for liable. So I think our elected officials should be held to a higher standard when it comes to the things they say publicly, we cannot continue to let them stoke fear with lies it is just getting out of hand.
