He doesn't handle adversity very well and most of the trouble came when plays that SHOULD have been made were not. Then he compounded the problem when he could not throw strikes and hit the pitcher. I was screaming to get him out but he came back to set down 11 in a row and saved the bullpen some innings. Then today they had to use too many guys from the pen when they had a big lead and couldn't get outs from some of their best. Not when Carlos Martinez is pitching, you don't. 🤮
I have never been more uninterested in them. It's odd. Five years ago, I watched nearly every pitch. Three years ago, a few innings a night. I don't think I watched 9 innings total during the Rona year. And literally haven't watched a pitch this season. I think it's the perfect storm...Wish I could watch a Cardinals game...
Agree, with Hulu losing Fox Sports MW, I have only really seen highlights so far. To a purist, not seeing the ball put in play, defensive plays, guys refusing to bunt or go the other way against the shift, etc. makes the game not very enticing. MLB has a building problem on their hands as far as future customers with this young generation.I have never been more uninterested in them. It's odd. Five years ago, I watched nearly every pitch. - The team is boring and not all that good
- Baseball as a whole is hard to watch with the whole K or HR approach
- Wife and kids take a lot of freaking time
- Cut the cord a few years ago and unwilling to go back...we toggle between Hulu Live and YouTubeTV (only for RedZone during football season)
- Have I mentioned baseball as a whole is BORING right now???
Agree with all of that. Like most things in life, baseball could use some balance. Would love to see a team put together a lineup that had a nice mix of contact/speed and bangers. Put an emphasis on guys that can put the barrel on the ball with consistency. I’m not sure what the answer is, but watching a 3.5 hr game for 12 total hits and about 30 punch outs just isn’t all that fun.Agree, with Hulu losing Fox Sports MW, I have only really seen highlights so far.
