Borgia edged out the Pacific Indians in a game much closer than the 49-37 final for the championship. KNights have some young shooters and a big 6'8 senior center. Indians have solid group of youth led by senior jordan cowsert.

Zumwalt North beat Normandy in a close one for third place. Zumwalt North has size and some good guard play. Normandy has talent across the board w/ athletes and could be dangerous when they figure it all out. Took a few buzzer beaters for Borgia to beat them in the semi finals. And in that game NOrmandy's best players sat out w/ foul trouble most of the game.

Union edged Washington in OT for fifth. Union has most experience back in Franklin County and can be a force come February.

Owensville surprised North Tech in the 7th place game. Good win for the Dutch.

Overall an exciting tourney. Some surprises. Not a team anyone would say is a final 4 caliber squad yet but not much difference in teams 1-6.. Saw some young players on the horizon for big things in the STL area.

I think your post sums it up pretty well. Borgia was up about 4 most of the game. I intend no offense, but Borgia appeared to have the better talent. But I felt that Pacific is very well coached. No surprise there, been that way for years. I think John got everything from his players that night. I love his energy and also his standards when it comes to what he expects from his players. I’ve seen it before and saw it again Saturday.

Loved seeing Zumwalt North play. I thought Mike did a great job Saturday as well. Always great to see kids grow up and do well.
