Then, covid hit the US. No one expected the president to be an expert on infectious diseases or medical science. All Trump had to do was say "We are in unchartered waters and I am relying on the best advice of the best medical and scientific experts in the world in dealing with the coronavirus." Any mistakes made in the decisions made by the experts would not have fallen in Trump's lap.

Instead, Trump tried to make himself out as an expert on infectious diseases. He ignored the threat, downplayed it, and flat out lied to the American people. He has been 100% wrong on the pathology of covid from the very beginning when he proclaimed it was just a "bad cold" and "going to disappear" and "we have it under control", all the way until the present day when he has proclaimed "we have rounded the corner" as the virus is surging at record levels as predicted with the return of flu season.

Trump's handling of covid is why he lost. Most Americans would have given him a free pass on handling covid if he would have stated from the beginning that "I am not a medical or scientific expert on infectious diseases". No one expected him to be!! He would have been given a free pass on the handling of covid among most Americans even when the experts were wrong. Instead, he lied and continues to lie despite the advice of experts,

100% correct. I believe that’s how Biden became the nominee, Dems and pretty much everyone else at the time knew Trump was a shoo in, why run an up and comer who was sure to lose against Trump. Save the best for 2024. Trump blows it w Covid, refuses to stop the twitter nonsense, acts like a fool at the first debate, and Biden wins.

I know I will take a lot of heat for this, but he could have been a decent president had he just not let his ego get in the way. His people would do anything for him I remember one person saying the President is the most tested person in the world, all he had to do in an interview the next few days was say yeah I am tested alot my people make sure of that. But no he threw his people under the bus and said no I don't agree with that I am not tested that much. There are many examples of this....it just drove me nuts and I always wondered why would he do things like that. His people could have said the sky will be blue in the morning and he would come out and say well I just don't believe that. He never supported anybody who worked under him or even any of his own policies, it just drove me nuts.

Helmets would save thousands of lives if they were required in cars (massive head injuries are the #1 cause of death in car crashes, 52% )
Would you support making everyone on motor vehicles wear approved helmets??? It would save a thousand times more lives than the people killed on motorcycles

Trump is losing by less than 50k votes. There is no national vote. If there was a national vote, how many more votes would Trump have gotten in Ca.? How many more would Biden have got? You can't claim something that doesn't exist happened. If you want to say Biden has received X number more votes nationwide, that is accurate but Trump is losing by the amount of difference in Pa. and Nev. or Az.

Chris you are a clown. Not counting Georgia, trump is down 96,545 and Biden is still getting votes. With Georgia's 11,595 Biden has 108,140 and counting.
