TRUMP INDICTED

“As early as mid-November, for instance, the Senior Campaign Advisor had informed the Defendant that his claims of a large number of dead voters in Georgia were untrue,” the indictment reads.

In an email, that campaign adviser lamented, “you can see why we’re 0-32 on our [court] cases. I’ll obviously help on all fronts, but it’s tough to own any of this when it’s all just conspiracy shit beamed down from the mothership.”

While Trump again portrayed the charges against him as part of a series of “un-American witch hunts,” his former vice president issued a strikingly different assessment.

“Today’s indictment serves as an important reminder: Anyone who puts himself over the Constitution should never be President of the United States,” Pence said in a statement.

Strange world we live in.
Stranger still, consider former VP Pence will testify against Trump, his current political rival. Pence's grand jury testimony was long and reportedly damning for Trump. While attempting to convince Pence to cooperate on Jan 6 to stop the election certification, Trump told Pence "You are too honest". Pence was privy to many conversations in the Oval Office leading up to and including on Jan 6.

Trump turned on Pence on Jan 6, and now Pence has the chance to turn the tables on Don the Con.

And his voters mostly say they would vote for him even he gets convicted. We all know that ain't gonna happen before the election so he could get elected then get convicted. I heard today his trial could take upon to 18 months and that's just one of them. Why on earth do they have to wait til next May to get the first one started?Heck may get elected and not be convicted of anything til his term is over. By the time they get him on anything he will have made himself King with the help of McCarthy and company. Off they do happen to get a conviction they may have to fight it out about whether he can pardon himself or not.

Watching a little Fox news today (hilarious, they talk about everything besides Jan 6 and Trump's actions), one point they make is this trial will be about The First Amendment. Their claim is Trump is free to say whatever he wants in speeches (by law, up to inciting a riot and Trump chose his words carefully on Jan 6 never exactly saying to violently storm the Capitol).

How do you prove Trump was lying about what he believes? After all, millions of Americans still believe it was a fraudulent election, even after all the allegations have been proven false. Even if Trump's inner circle was telling him the election results were valid, Trump is free to believe whatever he wants, and any person has the right to speak their mind.

Haven't other presidents blatantly lied to the American people? Nixon about Vietnam comes to mind. Clinton lying about his affair with Monica.

Just playing the devil's advocate. This is going to be an historic trial, if it happens........

His lies led directly to the Jan 6 insurrection. There is concrete evidence he was told over and over he had nothing. He lost court case after court case. Any reasonable person would know and accept the facts. Him claiming he believed he won really doesn’t matter. Irrelevant. It ain’t about the first amendment at all. You are repeating Fox talking points.

I said I was being the devil's advocate.

At one point on Jan 6, Trump did say no violence towards the Capitol police. His defense team will show him saying it.

I'm saying all is not cut and dried. This isn't going to be a quick trial and conviction. It will be the ultimate media circus in the middle of an election campaign with the right screaming politically motivated election manipulation.

It will be extremely interesting to me to see how Judge Chutkan handles this case. Unlike the maralago indictment with all of it's highly classified evidence, this case is cut and dried. Chutkan could really choose to move it along at a fairly rapid rate. I could see it starting right after the start of the new year.

Not sure anything will be "cut and dried" when it comes to these court cases.

Obviously I'm comparing the two cases... The Jan. 6th case is very streamlined compared to the documents case. Fat Donnie is the lone defendant. I really like Jack Smith's chess pieces in this particular case ! Will Trumps legal team allow him to testify ? Does he waive his right to attorney client privilege ? It sucks to be him right now !

The indictment from the call to the Georgia official, asking for 11,000 votes is coming next. The charge should be sedition. Aaron Burr level.

Once again, Trump chose his words carefully on the phone call to Georgia officials. He said "find me 11,780 votes". That can be interpreted many ways. Just saying......nothing is cut and dried in my opinion.

How can that be interpreted any way except "I want you to steal this election for me?"

Think like a lawyer, 3R!! LOL Trump said "find me 11,780 votes", which by definition means he was suggesting that he believed the votes are lost or missing or not counted, and therefore actually existed. Never once in the conversation did he exactly say do something illegal. The Don knows how to choose his words carefully, with a *wink wink*!!!

Oh, I'm not saying I buy one word of Con Man's BS. He's guilty as can be on every current indictment against him IMO. His lawyers aren't going to concede that on the phone call Trump specifically said to do something illegal. Like any good Don, Trump gets his underbosses to do his dirty work. See Gates, Cohen, Flynn, Manafort, Papadopoulus, Stone, Bannon, Navarro as examples.

Ok I'll say no person with any sense would think he wasn't telling him to find votes that just weren't there or at least take away that many from Biden. He didn't think for one minute that the votes actually existed.

"If you come after me, I'm going after you".

Interpret as you like.
It would seem after listening to the Sunday morning talk shows, that defense attorney Lauro plans to bastardize the 1st amendment condoning as legal virtually anything that comes out of Fat Donnie's mouth. If he said that to you, how would you feel ?

What the heck does that mean Kasky? NO one went after Trump over election results until HE went after people to give him votes HE didn't get.

Actually I was talking about the above recent Trump quote.

As I've stated, Trump is guilty on all indictments. I was merely stating what his lawyers are going to do for his defense.

How do you prove what someone believes or doesn't believe, or what is the intention of someone's words? Keep in mind Trump never actually said the exact words "storm the Capitol" or "illegally give me 11,780 votes". I won't believe Trump's version of events. I'm saying what the defense will claim, along with a bunch of "free speech" nonsense.

I have serious doubts about finding an impartial jury, too!! What's the odds of not having at least one die hard republican on the jury??

I'll bet anybody any amount he never spends a day in jail.

if we couldn't convict Clinton of a direct lie...“It depends on what the meaning of the word ‘is’ is. If the—if he—if ‘is’ means is and never has been, that is not—that is one thing. If it means there is none, that was a completely true statement. … Now, if someone had asked me on that day, are you having any kind of sexual relations with Ms. Lewinsky, that is, asked me a question in the present tense, I would have said no. And it would have been completely true.”
Then how are you going to convict Trump for asking somebody to just find some votes?
problem is that parties protect themselves and their own....and sorry @Toots_mcgee both party and party loyalist do it.

Finally, federal criminal charges for Jan 6!!!!

Finally, we have become the Soviet States of America. Going after political opponents with the legal system this way.

I want to know how Joe Biden used influence peddling over the years to enrich is family and cronies into the $200+ Million dollars. Because there is a host of federal charges that could be brought for that.

I hope the river the DNC has crossed comes back to haunt them in all the criminality they have engaged in, when their party is swept into the sewer.

Sorry Joey, your Rep pals went after the Clinton's for 8 years, and impeached Bill over a blow job.. Your false god Trump went after Obama over his birth certificate.

The Trump Organization made $200 Million from foreign countries during Con Man's presidency.

There's plenty of Rep turds floating around in that sewer.

He's not my false God. But you worship a crooked Stalinist regime with a walking mummy influence peddler as a figurehead. That punchy gomer does what he is told...he's a doddering straw headed lump of crap held up by the regime.
Anyone that would vote for that needs to be assimilated into the dumb ass collective.

He is on tape a few times saying he knew he lost the election but he kept going with the big lie. I too am afraid they can't find a dozen folks that will vote not guilty fro reasonable or another. I heard his lawyers are already these that trail could be 2 or 3 years down the road. They get paid to delay any of trials as long as they can.

I want to know how Biden did that as well, yet everytime the Republicans promise info on this it never happens.

Please explain the 100s of millions in enrichment of Biden over the years, his cronies and his family members in detail? Never happens.

What enrichment? Can you point to something illegal? Hell even the 'whistleblowers' said Biden did nothing illegal.

Also, how can you trumpers cry about this when Jared got 2 BILLION from the Saudis (remember 9/11?) for what?

*crickets*

Investigate that with your clowns Comer and gymjordan
