We left Concordia at 6:00 and have seen 15 fields. All the Ft Zumwalt fields look the same and were locked up. Timberland is the best so far and they did not spend as much money on Liberty in Wentzville. St Charles field is different with the track going out the stands. Is that a regulation track? Heading to Francis Howell North and then Central.

You need to see Festus's new facility. Haven't been that way yet, but I heard it's impressive.

I think there must have been a sell on the same style press boxes, because most of the school we have seen have the same one. And they are not very big.

I Googled that puppy and it is unusual but Barstow in KC has a track similar to that because of space. It is a 400 meter track. There are no set standards on the construction of a track. Thirty years ago if you could build a track it had 100 meter straights and 100 meter curves that were perfect semi-circles. Because of soccer, most new tracks are broken back with 85 meter straights and 115 meter curves, give or take a little, so the soccer field can fit inside. The broken back tracks are much faster because the curves are not as tight.
The tracks are not called broken-back because of the movie of a similar name but because the curves are not perfect semi-circles but have the radii changing several times breaking up the curvature.

So are Mshsaa records allowed to be recorded on those tracks?

Day two is underway, have seen St. Pius, Festus, Hillsboro, DeSota, Sullivan, Cuba and St James. Rolla is next then heading South to some place we have never been. Festus is doing some major construction, DeSota was nice as was St James. It was nice to see grass in Cuba and it looked great.

If you were already near St. Pius you should have seen Jefferson, Ste Genevieve, Valle, and Grandview. Herculaneum and Crystal City also have very unique stadiums.

We have been to all of those except the new Valle. Could not really head any farther south. I am having back issues. Guess it was from motel bed. LOL
