This is Coach Hair and I am the Head Boys Basketball Coach at SM East on the Kansas side - but still Kansas City Metro Area. We are looking for 2 teams to play in our early season tournament next year. It is set up as a public vs. private event in the first round and then played out like a normal tourney from there. The dates are Dec. 8-10 - Thurs-Sat - Each team is guaranteed 3 games. It is a great tournament with great gift bags for the players, a great hospitality room and great coaches gear. Last year, both semi-finals were telveised live on Metro Sports. We also guarentee each team $1,000 for expenses, travel, etc... The 6 teams that are committed are SM East, SM West, Olathe East, St. James, Bishop Seabury, and Barstow. We would love to get one public and one private to finish the field.
