A. Mid-Mo---Father Tolton--The kids are growing into men but have room to grow even more.

B. Kansas City
1. Blue Spring--People are talking about Blue Springs but not in class 5 state championship way.
2. Barstow--The roster is in place to repeat their class 3 state champion. The kids are growing into men.
3. Lees Summit--A trip to the final four would be nice but have no chance against a team like Chaminade.

C. SEMO
1. Poplar Bluff--The top freshman in Missouri is a defensive nightmare. The best is yet to come for the mules but a class 5 district championship is only 2 month away.
2. Sikeston--Fred Thatch is the man for the Bulldogs however a weak schedule could keep the Bulldogs from running the table in Columbia.

D. Springfield
1. Kickapoo--Big tradition in Springfield.
2. ?

E. St. Louis
1. Chaminade--Jason Tatum is unstoppable for high school players.
2. Hazelwood Central-Too much Xaver Sneed for the average high school. The Hawks are loaded and experienced. Not many teams can match talent with the Hazelwood Hawks.
3. Vashon--Top coach Tony Irons is a fixture @ the final four and this year is no different.
4. Vianney--When top guard Zack Colletta returns from Injuries and Car'Are Gordon returns to his position. @ center, big things may happen @ Vianney.

F. St. Charles County
1. Francis Howell--Things are looking up for the top team in the St. Charles area. We will see what happens in the MICDS Holiday Tournament.
2. Timberland will be competitive and might challenge Howell.

G. Franklin County
1. Borgia---No team in Franklin County can challenge the Knights.

Who can we add to the above list of top teams?

For the Springfield area I would agree with Kickapoo at the top spot. Jared Ridder is an unbelievable talent. I would watch for a deep run from the Chiefs this year.

2. Bolivar - Returning (I believe) all starters from last years final 4 team
3. Glendale - Young but talented team. Remember the name Jordan Walton. 50 three pointers last year as a freshman. He broke Dorial Green-Beckham’s Freshman scoring record for Springfield Public Schools.

Parkview's Anthony Moore actually held the record. Didn't have that info last year until I got Robert Vestal's all-time SPS stats in September. DBG is third all-time, Johal fourth. Matt Miller fifth.

I think the O-Zone was using my info, so I'm at fault for that one. But now I've got the official records and (hopefully) everything will be correct from now on.
