Tony Severino makes the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame.

"We are happy to announce that longtime Rockhurst football coach, Tony Severino, has been selected to the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame! Coach Severino, who just completed his 35th season as Rockhurst's head coach, holds a career record of 326-85-1 and has won seven Missouri State Championships. Coach Severino was named the USA Today National Coach of the Year in 2000. Fourteen of Coach Sev's players have gone on to play professional football.

He will be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Sunday, January 28, 2018 in Springfield. Congratulations, Coach!"

As a way of honoring Mr. Severino, the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame will charge him $150 per person to attend the event. That's like MSHSAA charging a team to play in the state championship game.
