in my opinion as soon as QB's like Allen and Mahomes decide they are running backs and not QB's they are fair game like everyone else.
Boy how we have become conditioned to want a flag with such sorry hits. Mahomes/Allen/Burrows group has never been hit in the NFL. Brady played the system, but atleast the guy had a little threat of being hit. The younger group now has not, well the elites haven't. I always laugh when joe schmoe is in at QB for the Jags is allowed to get demolished, but when it's Mahomes, it's an instant flag.
The fine china is kept in the cabinet as opposed to the everyday dishes because of its value. Please tell me you don't treat your wife/girlfriend/other (Mahomes/Allen/Burrow) the same way you treat your dog (Kirk Cousins).

Cousins even gets the flags some of those dudes don't get. Wasn't it this year Cousins had one that extended the drive and won them the game? I believe he was barely touched?
If more fans cared about the quality of FOOTBALL product on the field, we would be better off. Again, very entertaining game Sunday night, but it was not a a GREAT football game. Poor coaching down the stretch and situational awareness doesn't mean it wasn't entertaining.

Lamar Jackson is pretty good at that aswell. Hard to fault the QB either when they know they'll get the flag on a love tap.
I'm a Chiefs fan and love Mahommes, but when these guys go from QB to running the ball, I agree, they should be prepared to get drilled without a flag (barring any helmet to the head stuff). If they start pulling this stuff where they are headed out of bounds and then change course to take advantage of defenses pulling back, that's where they're crossing the line and abusing the rules. Just like going to the slide, if a QB is clearly heading out of bounds, I feel like they should be respected and not demolished. As soon as you abuse that privilege, there shouldn't be a flag.
My thought is if you're in-bounds, you're in-bounds, regardless of your intent or tip-toeing. If you are out of bounds, then you are out of bounds. I can understand why the league would want to protect their biggest assets, however.
