Well here you Metro area fans go:

Week 1 - Hogan Prep vs. Lincoln Prep
Week 2 - Platte County vs. Oak Park
Liberty at Belton
Week 4 - Park Hill at Blue Springs (this one will actually be a great one)
Week 5 - Blue Springs South at Olathe North
Week 6 - Liberty North at Park Hill South
Week 9 - Raytown at Raytown South
Belton at Grandview

Not sure what others think BUT I sure as heck hope KSMO or someone local picks up games like, say defending Class 4 champ Kearney at defending Class 5 champ Fort Osage or any games involving teams on my radar this fall like Lee's Summit West, Staley, Center and, of course, the Harrisonville-Oak Grove game. In all fairness I know webcasting has given everyone more options but those have a nasty habit of not working at times and I am a TV traditionalist.

Sorry in advance but this slate of games just took me by total surprise.............

I agree on the BS vs Park Hill game. Be interesting to see how BS does coming off a road game to Fayetteville prior week.

I saw where TWC will be doing there top 25 at NFM on August 15th and will air on the 16th. Wonder who they will put as #1.

It should be Park Hill. I don't think there are any KS schools for whom one could make a better case.

Were Park Hill remaining in C5 they would be huge favorites to win it all. Moving up to C6 tends to be a big jump and I don't think the KC metro will overall be as "down" as last year (BS South of course the major exception).

Hogan prep v Lincoln what the heck, where the heck is lee summit or staley
I actually think Hogan Prep will be a big factor in C3 and Lincoln Prep is usually the best of the IL but now we know literally nobody is televising a very rare matchup of two defending state champions.................

Top. Always admire your posts. I am going to go with BS as #1. Had a good run at the end of last year. Very good skill players coming back. Very good size on the inside. My top 5 C6 are:

Blue Springs
Park Hill
Lees Summit West
Rock
Lees Summit

And there is another one...............no Rockhurst for the first time in memory.

If any C5 team is going to crack your top five it would be Liberty North. That week 1 tilt at Staley will be another great one and I expect a full analysis from HomeyR after he gets home from it. :)

I put them at 5 only because I know nothing about them this year. Time will tell us about Rock but I do believe they have to be in the top 5.

Sorry. I was just listing my top 5 in C6 on the west side. Yes, those two for sure would be in the top 5 all classes. I'll get to see LN at the BS Jamboree.

Hard to put the Rock before LSW but I guess were not sure about either this year. My good source says LSW and LS will be very good this year. He did not mention Rock at all.

Yeah, I guess I'm just thinking they are due to bounce back. I think all of the LS schools will be strong this season. I've heard LSN has picked up Mizzou commit Da'ran Davis from Hogan Prep so he will be a big weapon for them.

BSS and Fort will be very interesting to watch with their heavy graduation losses and new head coaches.

And we won't see any of those Lee's Summit schools on the aforementioned TWC Sports Channel at least not as of now...............hopefully (did they even notice they have mid-C5 pack Belton twice?) someone will step in and correct at least some of their TV sked.

One thing to watch is how LSW reacts to a new HC. As Helias Catholic showed last year one never knows....

I also see Blue Springs South is at Lee's Summit West Week 1...............and found out thanks to another poster here Hogan's All-American is headed to LS North.

All of the LS schools should be stacked this year. I say LSW, LSN, and then LS. LSN had a HUGE freshman class last season and really turned their program around. Last season was the best season for them in a long time. LSW has a new coach, but came from in house. I expect them to compete again. LS I am more unfamiliar with. I know they have a lot of kids out this year and competed in most games last year. I may not get to many Odessa games this year, but living in Lee's Summit at least gives me opportunities for good football and some big games.

So tonight this network presents its Top 25 show and yours truly inquires about their schedule and I get a message they didn't cover Kearney at Fort O because of a "schedule conflict".................again really wondering what is going on at what used to be THE TV home of HSFB in the KC metro.

I was told by someone who should know that they were originally planning to broadcast the Kearney-Fort game but had to change because of some conflict not related to either HS. Not sure what that would have been since they are broadcasting a different game.

I do think they do an amazing job overall in their HS coverage.

The Kearney-Fort game will be available via video webcast.

I suppose it is better than nothing but I just get the suspicion (really HATE their new theme song, too) TWCSCKC is falling into that "participation trophy" crap we have seen elsewhere. All that stuff aside BEST OF LUCK to both great programs it should be tons of fun!

The answer is Bishop Miege (KS). I would bet the farm there are about a dozen (maybe more) schools in the KC metro area on the MO side that would beat them but I am not a big rankings person so no biggie.
