3R beat Moberly for the 4th time this season to win the Region 16 Tournament to remain undefeated and ranked #1 in the nation going to the Juco National Tournament in Lubbock, Texas!

3R beat Moberly for the 4th time this season to win the Region 16 Tournament to remain undefeated and ranked #1 in the nation going to the Juco National Tournament in Lubbock, Texas!

3R did get the 1 seed in the tourney. Moberly women got an at large bid and the 16 seed in the tourney. Their only losses were to 3R 4 times and 1 to Wabash Valley who was in the top 10 all year and got the 6 seed. Moberly is on the opposite side of the bracket from 3R so the only way they would play again is in the championship game. The odds of both teams winning that far along would be way out of my betting range but Moberly is pretty dang good themselves and anybody out there could knock off a higher seed on any given day.

The Lady Raiders dream season ended in a nightmare today. They lost their first game of the tournament to Tyler,Texas. Not too surprised they lost, everybody out there is good, but the way they lost was quite puzzling. They couldn't hit a shot from ANYWHERE on the court and were down 22-0 before they finally scored. Their PG and leading scorer on the season with nearly 18 ppg was scoreless in the 1st half. Still another great season and 2 year run. This returning group lost only 2 games in the last 2 seasons and won over 50 with both losses in the National Tournament.

The team that beat 3Rivers, Tyler, Tx. is in the championship game against Georgia Highlands who is the 3 seed. They have been the only top 10 seed still playing for the last 2 days.

Tyler won it all. They just beat the 3 seed Georgia Highlands 92-80 for the Juco National Championship. Georgia was the top ranked defensive team in the country going into the tourney.
